In this video I dig into why one of the biggest names in the modern classic motorbike YouTube seems to have fallen out with Royal Enfield after years of being one of their biggest advocates.

I want to be upfront about something before you watch, I still own and ride my Interceptor 650, I still love it, and I'll still happily recommend it to anyone looking for a great value, characterful bike.

If you bought one on someone else's recommendation that isn't quite as positive about them now, don't worry. Enfield's are still great bikes and I would love to here your experience of them in the comments.

It felt to me like an absolute you turn, so I am happy others have also picked up on this. Not I have found something else I like more now, but absolutely throwing the brand under the bus.

Like your style of video which seems no nonsense. Straight and accurate.

I rest rode an interceptor and at 6’2 18 stone I loved it. Really felt like an easy to live with do everything motorcycle.

Had my 650 for six years now and it's proven to be a really good buy. I have put many good touring miles on it and I have to say it has given me more riding pleasure than any other bike I have owned. I'll be keeping it regardless of what's said on YouTube by nay sayers.

Rode classic bikes my whole life (all kawasaki - 440LTD, Z650c and a CSR1000 (still got it and was my main bike)). Recently got a RE:Interceptor and good god I love this bike. Been a daily commuter, loved every road I've taken it on, going to two rally on it this month and it's just given me so much more love for riding! Honestly, glad I joined the RE family.

Took my first brand new bike to a dealer for a service, was a Yamaha YZF125 when I was learning, since owning bigger bikes I always do my own service now don’t care about warranty or dealer stamps, the way I see it is a proper biker will look after their bikes so not too fussed about buying used without any service history.

I have two. A Hunter was my "returning rider" bike. Great little urban commuter. I added a Himalayan 450 and it's so much fun to ride. Will go almost anywhere. Lots of dirt roads in Australia. No issues with any of them.

I own four Royal Enfields do all the servicing my self and in the five years of use zero problems. The mechanical build quality is very good and so easy to work on. Check out REs factories all now state of the art. But of course prices are rising apart from state subsidies on Chinese goods. All other countries have rising cost pressures. I’ve owned Triumph, Honda and Aprilia all have had factory recalls. REs represent good value for money especially on the used market. So ride and enjoy.

I have a RE 650 Interceptor a BMW S1000R just traded my Triumph Tiger 900 for a CF Moto 800 MT-X. When I looked at my mileage for the last year on my 3 bikes (all bases covered cruiser/sports/touring) the Interceptor had 6k miles, the Triumph 3300 miles and the BMW just under 2000 miles. That shows just how easy the Interceptor is when you just want to get a bike out the garage to go somewhere and be relaxed and have no hassles. It really is a great bike and sounds amazing I have a DNA filter kit and lextek cans the burble and downshifts pops are brilliant.

Great video and response. I've just brought my pre-reg Int 650 (which contrary to his videos, does get the full warranty as it applies to the first retail customer) and its brilliant. He's obviously fallen out with RE over something - i'd question a lot of his claims to have insider or industry knowledge too, especially once you talk to reputable dealers who know what is actually going on.

Bought a used Interceptor 2 years ago here in Thailand. It’s my commute and my tourer when needed. I am not a mechanical person but I have done a few maintenance tasks and it makes sense to me. 27,000 kms on mine.

Interesting video, as a 6’4 heavy chap I went for Himalayan 411, I, like yourself did try a 350 as they are stunning bikes but for the speed I just couldn’t imagine sat on motorway for long times at the absolute limit, my 411 although not fast at all will sit comfortably 60-65 which is about perfect on our major uk car parks, sorry I mean motorways, cracking video, one day I do hope to get an interceptor as they too are absolutely fantastic looking bikes, nice video 👍
