I've only watched about 30 minutes so far, but already I'm seeing what a good escape artist Orville is. When it's his turn, instead of answering the question directly put to him by the moderator, he focuses his guns on Kishore again and again. He throws his own question at Kishore without ever answering the moderator or expressing his own point of view. The art of deflection personified.

Standing ovation for Sir Kishore Mahbubani! SE Asians are certainly not stupid 😅

Another quote of you Orville: “I was the CIA director. We lied, we cheated and we stole. We’ve a training course just for that”.

It's interesting how Orville Schell avoided giving his opening position and started on the attack. Kishore Mahbubani spoke with facts, data and logic - very refreshing to hear.

I am from MELAKA, Malaysia.
Since 15th century China already trade With Melaka. They never conquered us, only trade. BUT the west Portuguese, English and Dutch came with cannons to conquer us and said we belong to them. They each stayed for years.

this American represents precisely why the world were at and are still at wars at this moment. He should not have been invited to the table. Kishore is however a speaker with great wisdom

The talk Host is really good 👍👍👍. Unlike many other talk hosts on Asia Society, she was even handed, let the speakers talk and did not load her questions with anti-China narratives and fake information.

The more I listen to t his discussion, the more I am convinced that Orville is completely lost in space.
Thanks to Dr Kushiro for making the discussion worth watching.

Kishore Mabubani is one of the best most insightful geopolitical realist analyst. He has been predicting most of the events unfolding today.

Noticed that Kishore is the only one providing answers while the other side didn't but instead acted as if he is the second Host only asking questions after questions.

The scholarship and patience of Kishore put to shame the folly and bias of Orville.

Whenever Mr Kishore Mahbubani laughed, I find it so funny. Respect to him that he tried his best to answer to "silly" questions again and again so patiently. A true gentlemen.

Orville was not even answering Rorry’s single questions let alone giving her to lead the conversation being mediator. On the other hand, Mr. Kishore was answering every questions of Orville and addressing Rorry not to left her out as she was already loosing her space there. Salute to you sir from all of us 88%.

kishore nailed it with the vietnam reference. if US had a problem with authoritarian regimes, why do they cozy up to saudi arabia? an absolute monarchy that has no democratically elected leadership and a country that forbids women from driving?

I am so very impressed that KISHORE is so comprehensive, consistent and clear in his thoughts on CHINA. He has articulated his answers simply and persuasively and has DEFINITELY left his mark on the INTERNATIONAL scene as arguably one of the BEST ASIAN thinkers spanning the 20th & 21st century!!!! He has done Spore PROUD.

Seeing how this American speaks make me understand why the US is declining. Blinded by arrogance and I am quite sure what is in their mind. If America goes down, make sure all others go along.
