I traveled to the misty highlands of Nagano, Japan, for a quiet day of kei truck camping in my self-built tiny house.

At an elevation of about 1,500 meters, surrounded by low-hanging clouds and occasional rain, I spent the day testing some new camping gear, cooking over a campfire, and exploring the forest in search of a giant tree.
There is no mobile signal this deep in the mountains, and the weather can change in an instant. Sunshine, fog, wind, and sudden heavy rain passed through the highlands throughout the day.

With my tiny truck house as a base, I enjoyed the solitude and the slow rhythm of solo camping in the mountains.
