The fact that this screenplay was written by two punks in their early 20s and they got Robin to star in it is just incredible

Another amazing reaction. I was saddened and heartbroken to find that you had a troubled, violent youth. It really got me. But look at you now! A beautiful, smart mom with an audience that adores you. As usual the outro makes it for me. Can't wait for the next one!

Robin Williams had the incredible ability to be the comedian and bring such joy and laughter to people then be able to play such serious roles that are so profound. He was truly a great actor and human being. I’m so sad his life was tragically cut short. The world lost a wonderful human being.

Whatever happened to you in your childhood Kali it was never your fault. Ever ever ever. If you’re ever feeling down again just remember how much of a special person you are. You’re a former healthcare, you’re a mom, and you’re a content creator with over 100K subscribers. Being one of those is a blessing on its own and the fact that you’re all three makes you very special. It makes me happy to see you go from an abusive childhood to where you are now doing what you love. You have such a beautiful soul and I’m glad to have been here with you.❤️💖

I remember watching this film with my ex, and it hit really close to my personal life. She's a therapist, and after watching it with her, I just was closed off throughout the entire evening. It shook me and she told me,"Just because you're damaged it doesn't mean you're broken." I told her,"I know that."

She said,"You may know but it's good to be told that."

I got so emotional when she said that. It's beautiful to watch this reaction with you. You're love Kali

"No more shenanigans, no more tomfoolery, no more ballyhoo." Is something I quote way too often

One of my absolute favorites. No better monologue than when SEan is schooling Will on that bench.

I was a foster carer for 12yrs & can testify this film is true to life. My daughter as I view her was with us for 11 yrs till she was 18. She constantly tried to push us away, being nasty & spiteful to see if we would give up on her & send her away. We stuck it out & today we have a wonderful relationship & love her very much!

Not to take anything away from the "It's not your fault" scene, but the hardest hitting scene for me in this movie is Skylar and Will's argument and break up. It just rips my heart to pieces for so many reasons. Skylar's heartfelt reaction, and Will finally sharing some of his past, yet pushing her away despite her wanting to help him. And just how authentically it's acted. Skylar's voice breaking gets me every time

On a lighter note, this movie has some of the best genuine, contagious laughs I've seen in a while haha. Skylar has an amazing laugh in general, and the scene with Will uncontrollably laughing at Sean's story about his wife just sends me 🤣Great reaction! Thank you!

I watched an interview with Matt Damon from about 8 months ago that said he was contacted by an artist. The artist wanted to make a bronze statue of Robin Williams at the park bench. Said that if you felt lonely you could go sit with a friend. :)

The bench where Robin Williams gave his "speech" to Matt damon is famous, when Robin passed away people from all over the world went there to leave flowers by that bench

I feel so touched by this movie because I resonate so much with Will

Robin Williams absolutely crushed dramas. This, Dead Poets, Awakenings, Good Morning Vietnam...and on. Just a glorious entertainer.

Hi Kaliwali, I'm happy you watched this movie and for sharing at the end because I have personal experience with violence with my parents too. It's a very powerful moment in therapy between Will and Sean. Therapy definitely helped me but it didn't but what helped me was meeting my wife. She is my rock. She understood what happened to me and literally became my therapist.

My one objection to the 'it's not your fault' scene is that healing doesn't happen like that, in one big cathartic audience-pleasing breakthrough moment. 'Healing' is an appealing idea, but the damage has been done, and really the only thing is making peace with the fact that we're forever altered. I know it wasn't my fault but not a day has gone by my entire life where I don't flash back to one of the billion moments of cruelty, violence or neglect that defined my young existence for years, and not a day goes where I don't feel the 'weight' of the scars on my body and the scars inside.

Williams is an outstanding comic actor, but he really shines in dramatic roles like this... RIP...

6:30 "The solving an extremely difficult problem" segment of the movie is based on the real life of George Dantzig.
One day George arrived late to class and copied down 2 problems from the black board, assuming they were homework.
He turned in the assignments a little late and noted to his professor that they were more challenging than normal.
George Dantzig had solved 2 of the most famous unsolved problems in Statistics.

Dantzig recalled in a 1986 interview in the College Mathematics Journal, "A year later, when I began to worry about a thesis topic, Spława-Neyman (Dantzig's professor) just shrugged and told me to wrap the two problems in a binder and he would accept them as my thesis."
He's also the inventor of linear programming for which he was awarded the National Medal of Science by President Ford, but that's another topic.

Hey Kali, every time I see Robin Williams tell Matt Damon, "it's not your fault". It breaks me every time. You are not the only one. ------------- less is definitely more impactful in that scene, as he keeps repeating "it's not your fault" My eye fill with water even more. He says it again, and I continue to cry and sniffle. The fucking scene breaks me every time. ————- I'm a grown-ass man and I turn seven every time I watch that scene. ---------- Such amazing writing.

"Dead Poets Society" is one of Robin Williams' best films. He is absolutely brilliant in it. And its a beautiful emotional movie. That is definitely the film I'd recommend the most. "Good Morning Vietnam" second, because of how well that film highlights his comedic genius.

As I am just starting the video, why do I have the narrator voice in my head? "She was indeed NOT ready..."

Poor Kali. 😔

Another one of my favorite movies of all time! This film has a special place in my heart. I grew up with Robin Williams' movies and, like you, I was absolutely crushed when I heard of his passing. And the way he passed also just hit me in a personal way. His performance in this movie is my second favorite behind Mrs. Doubtfire. He absolutely deserved the Academy Award for this film. Thank you for your reaction, I sincerely love your reactions 💖
