A first drive is where we've only had around one day or less with the car, as apposed to the usual one week loan. About to order my M3 Rwd, the standard colour happily now is the stealth grey, which looks great in person.... I couldn't justify 7k extra for the ventilated seats and interior lighting plus a couple small upgrades. I'll save that for the model Y premium which I'll get in 4 years hopefully and keep for a long term family vehicle

I’ve had 5 test drives in Tesla 3 models and I really like this version. It fits my needs perfectly so I’ve ordered one. I don’t have a 2nd driver so the column and seat adjustments are irrelevant. The night driving is exceptional compared to the other 34 vehicles I’ve tested in the past 8 months. Can’t wait for delivery!

Don’t really know much about Tesla as a South Korean EV fan. I do know from many though that Tesla are great EVs. Really enjoyed this review. Don’t know how I would get on with most of cars systems in the screen. Very impressed with the efficiency. Lovely to see Graeme and value his contribution as a M3 connoisseur! Thank you so much to you both for enlightening us with this review. As a politico, I’m tempted to comment on the politics of Elon, but I won’t bother, instead like most consumers ill concentrate on the products and admire Elon’s tech and business skills leading to such phenomenal achievements.

So the “cheap Tesla” still does 0–60 in about 6 seconds. Meanwhile my old car needs that time just to think about accelerating 😂

Just picked up the Model 3 last week, and it's my first electric car. I'm surprised to hear you say it's got less speed and less acceleration as it drives like a beast!!! Ie decided to see how it would accelerate while travelling up a mountain here in Spain, and left even the speeder far behind as we went up that hill!!! Literally seen everyone become much smaller as I left them behind. But really I'm not a speeder myself so took it calm for the rest of the journey. And I know I'm new but it does feel efficient!!!

Side note, charged it to 100% yesterday for the first time and despite it being over 27 hours ago it still hasn't lost a percentage point. I was expecting to see some phantom drain (cause I've heard it talked about before), but she's more efficient than I was expecting.

My partner’s had her standard 2 weeks and she loves it. I think if it’s your first Tesla and you haven’t driven the better specs, it still feels like a massive upgrade. Even the speaker system which is weak compared to the better specs is a massive improvement on her old car.

Very good, well balanced review - thanks. It’s a shame they didn’t adopt the same principles on the standard Y - the frunk on that vehicle is embarrassing. I’ve got a Model Y Juniper AWD and absolutely love it! :- )

So now it’s manual only steering wheel adjustment, then it won’t automatically change ( unlike the seats ) when different family members use their phone access… very weird that … great video ..

We’ve picked our “standard” up a few weeks ago. As we live in Belgium we got the version with the 18 inch steelies with Prismata hubs.Ride quality is just excellent. We also have had a Kia EV6 for more than a year. Tesla are streets ahead in every area.

To open the charge flap at a supercharger there is a button on the pistol, its not automatic.

Did you notice if you had pressure tires indication on the pad? Those 18 rims has the TPMS sensor..

The basic Autopilot in the rear-wheel-drive Model 3 comes standard in Europe, while in the U.S., as of now, the base car does not include the full Autopilot package and instead only comes with basic driver-assistance features, with Autopilot and Full Self-Driving offered separately as paid options or subscriptions. In other words, in Europe the basic driver-assistance system is included in the purchase price, whereas in the U.S. the more advanced features are monetized separately.
