This is so timely JV! I practice ALOT but don’t play often. I went to the range and played like I just started. This is exactly what I needed to get back on track.

I've tried Jims swing at first I hit good shots but short in distance but did something wrong and just suddenly hit good straight shots

5:20 This is it for every shot I’ve found. “Tension = (Bad) Intention”

This is true about a year ago I did this, then I got stupid and went in another direction. I would go to the ranch and would bring the club to waist high and let gravity take the club to the ball. I would wind up with all the balls about 50 yards out in a 2’ circle.

Now to get back to this and bring it to the course.

New subscriber. This makes so much sense to me. A way easier concept than most instructors will advise you to do. I've been trying to relax my swing and be more patient to get better contact. When I actually do that, the results usually are better than when I swing hard at the ball. Let the club do the work is going to by my swing thought. Thank you.

First time looking at JV’s channel. No more Arizona desert. What the hell!!

One of my biggest issues as I just get way too tight when I get over the ball to chip. It's dark out, so I'm practicing on the carpet in my home office. What a difference! My shoulders just relax, and I'm not focused on anything except allowing the club to make contact with the ball.

Again many thanks, ❤ALOHA

Great drill. Love it but when I let the club fall, the ball is literally going a foot. Strike is clean however.👍❤️

Crazy how much u lean over the ball. Your bent nearly 90 degrees in your stance. Is that something you recommend?

Hi Jim

I've had the putting yips for many years and sometimes worst than others. Now I've also got the chipping yips. Unfortunately your solution does not work for me as thr real problem is the presence of the ball. I can make imaginary chips all day - perfect strikesat where the ball would be no problem. Put the ball down, big problem!

"This is why this requires some intelligence"😂

@dougfabrizio2794 5 months ago

When I do this the club drops right to the ground 3 inches behind the ball. I don’t get it. For me to move the club forward at all results in an immediate yip

I have a question. On some videos you look like you live in the middle of a rock strewn desert, and then others you look like you live in a lush lakeside paradise?
