Your last two vids are the best ones yet imho! Totally relatable for the recreational golfer. Superb.

I finally caught my driver perfect and hit one 300 on the course last weekend with this technique.

Jim, I’m 62 and I’ve played on and off for 20 years. Mid-30s handicap the last few years. I won B-grade club champs this year and I put a lot of it down to keeping it weight on the lead side (even though I wasn’t doing your full setup yet).

After a few months with your method I can see it’s perfect for my age, flexibility and rhythm — and it suits my Cobra one-length irons. My practice reminder is simple: stay on the lead foot, and keep the ‘lead shoulder closed’ feel through impact (golden move for me).

Expecting to be low-20s this year. I’ll keep you posted. Thanks Jim

If he normally hits an 8 iron 160+ yards he’s a better player than I could ever be using any method

At age 72, I’m enjoying Jim’s method. Swinging easily instead of hard feels counterintuitive at first but (after stillness & staying closed through impact) has without a doubt made the most positive impact on my shots and scores.

Hey @jimvenetosgolf when you wear out your golf mat in the desert, you might consider replacing it with one with a grid on it. That way you could more easily make your points about the setup angles, club path and club face angles.

Hard to see the cacti on the videos. :)

I have to say after subscribing and watching most of Jim's videos including shorts on actual lessons, that today at the range I tried the set up, used my strong grip, kept weight on the lead foot and kept the chest as still through the swing as I could. When I hit the ball flat footed the contact of ball was much more pure through almost all my shots..the ball definitely has a draw..and not much club head speed..I will be doing his academy online course..

With a shoulder mobility issue this totally works. Closed position and weight over the lead leg I fell I have the room to swing and not feel stuck. Low pulls are now a nice high draw.

Perfect timing. I was just about to make the swing more difficult 😊

That bent lead arm freaks me out, but it sure seems to work. I always had a hard time keeping that arm straight (years of weightlifting) so this might be my new swing.
