When someone is ready to breakdown mentally the person is not in the right mind. She is a professional and should know that calling the suicide hotline is worthless. I called the hotline and told her I was worried, couldn’t sleep and my husband wasn’t home and I was watching the clock waiting for him to get home. The girl told me “don’t look at the clock then”😢
I feel so bad for Lindsay. One day you could say you’re fine and then your brain is whacked out.

Our mental health system is a mess. If you tell them, you’re suicidal they throw you into a hospital that offers no help except drugging you up so they can get you out of there as soon as possible. If you don’t tell them, you’re suicidal then you don’t get the help that you need when you actually are suicidal.
There needs to be a safe place where you can talk about having suicidal feelings without being committed and subsequently drugged up or losing your kids because you’re telling them you’re having homicidal thoughts.

I love when Reddington told her NO, NO SO! Lol

I don’t think anyone but someone who has has suicidal ideation knows what it’s actually like. One day you can have those thoughts and one day you don’t. It’s always there, just managed. Sometimes you’re too afraid of judgement to even say “yes.” This Dr knows this very well. Anything can change with just one thought. Even if you’ve had the best day ever, it can come in a blink of an eye.

Incompetent person . If word was not on computer, no other description was necessary ?? Such a shallow robot !! This person is incapable of helping anyone in need

Despite a patient being knowledgeable about meds, you should STILL get an ROI signed to communicate with the other provider to ensure the information you’re getting is accurate. Basically you’ve got two providers prescribing meds and not communicating with each other.

While everyone is already outraged, I should tell you most people with mental health issues see their Primary Care Doctor or at best a Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner. I've met people taking psych medication for more than 10 years who have never saw a actual Psychiatric trained Provider.

LC should not have been drinking alcohol on those medications. I didn’t know she was drinking that much and daily. Wow.

I see no malpractice in how DrTufts treated Lyndsey.  She was very conservative in her prescribing.  This must have seriously impacted her.  She was brand new.  😢

This dr is lying she says it was all Lindsey’s idea to go on meds! No one says give me Paxil or Zoloft or celexa ! No one!

General question. Why do people have more kids when they were feeling bad after the one previous?

In reality , there's very little "therapy" that goes on in a psych facility. It's cut and dry ?s. The depth of the level of care is pretty superficial. Coping skills : deep breathing listening to music drawing, hobbies, exercise, anyone can do these with encouragement from a caring person. Someone said you get more empathy and advice from a barkeeper. (Remember "Cheers" ?) Medication can help, but doesn't have the power to make voices go away. A mind has to be reprogrammed for that. Only One can do that, with their permission.

Husband goes ski … doktor gives More N More drugs , …. Bravo

The lawyer is trying to compare meds she took while still in nursing school without side effects to meds she took while suffering from postpartum depression. That's like comparing apples to oranges and doesn't acknowledge the severity of postpartum depression vs depression.

If she found some relief from the Ativan, why not keep it on board for awhile? The medication was doing exactly what it was designed to do. So why not continue to use that tool, along with others to reach some longerterm stability ?

She should have been in psychiatric good care for 18 months

How is her judgement excellent but insight poor? Is this combination common??
Would be interesting to know what her FBC looked like, also Ferritin, B12, Folate. Deficiencies in which can massively impact mood/cognition etc.

So which one is it was she mildly anxious or did she need all those meds? This dr acts like she was not that bad but gave her tons of meds! I don’t trust doctors!

Asking questions to someone mentally unwell you’re not likely to get answers. She asked to be admitted, she should have been admitted end of. Mental health illness postpartum should be treated with extra caution

I feel for this doctor. Wishing her all the luck in the world. She got very very unlucky so early in her career and this murderer wants to throw her under the bus for her deeds
