A Collection of Disturbing Stories

Scary Interesting

Hello everyone and welcome back to Scary Interesting. In this video, we’re going to go over 3 stories of people who fell from insanely high distances. In one case, this was literally cruising altitude. However, in each case, if you can believe it, that is almost the least interesting part of the story. You’ll see what I mean, and as always, viewer discretion is advised.

“She landed on a massive mound of fire ants”

Somehow simultaneously the luckiest and unluckiest woman in the world

The second story made me cry. That dad gave his life to ensure his daughter would have the best chance of survival. Actual parent of the century.

I wonder if Joan thought "at least it can't get worse" before realizing she'd fallen onto a nest of fire ants.

The first story is one of the most insane stories you’ve told on here. If someone can survive a free fall from 14,000 feet then anything is possible. She lived a decent life after that too which is even more unbelievable.

Imagine going sky diving and a woman on your plane is talking about the time she SURVIVED BOTH CHUTES MALFUNCTIONING

This is the first time I’ve ever cried watching Scary Interesting. Laney’s story is such a tragic but beautiful story. I gasped when he explained how she survived, by one of her father’s bear hugs. 😢 Incredible👏🏼

There’s also that German teenager who famously survived a plane crash into the Amazon jungle and then walked for days until she found a hut.

The fact that both her parachutes failed and yet she landed on one of the few if not the only spot for miles around that wouldn't kill her is absolutely insane.

When that flight attendant woke up from that coma asking for a cigarette, it would be hell if the doctors tell her those things will kill you.

I can’t tell I watch these out of morbid curiosity or to remind myself things could be worse when I burn my toast

Best place to land without a parachute is an… ant hill??

I'm sure that no sane person wants to break Vesna's record.

Mike Perdue. Rest in peace. What an almighty hero. ❤️💪. Best father in the world. 😢

The sole survivor of the Air India crash in 2025, Vishwash Ramesh, has stated in an interview that he is doing extremely poorly mentally living with survivor's guilt. He takes no joy in life, is terribly depressed and contemplates ending things. It's a miracle but there is a large cost in knowing you're the only one.

There's something so uniquely awful about the detail from the first story that the impact was so harsh it caused fillings to come out of her teeth. Jesus

Good thing Peggy Hill recovered, that was a real cliff hanger

I almost died from drowning as a commercial fisherman. Luckily the skipper that I was working for and his father who was helping us that day got me back aboard and breathing again. I totally understand why that lady jumped out of that plane again. I went back to set gear 2 days after my little incident. I was scared shirtless going to the wharf. And I can remember my legs shaking as I was going down the ladder. But I never felt as alive as I did setting that first 10 Trappe string back. It was just like the adrenaline rush was crazy good but it was just like I beat the ocean this time. And I'm damn near invincible 😂 I continued fishing for 8 years after that but it turns out I'm not invincible. Thankfully orthopedic surgeons do good work lol

I've watched every one of these videos and never felt anything but interested but boy that dad and daughter broke my heart

This is why I don't consider my fear of heights an irrational one. Heights are dangerous. Well I guess technically it's not the fall, it's the stop

@SeventhSwell 3 weeks ago

The thing about falling is that once you hit terminal velocity it doesn't matter how much farther you have to fall, you're not going to go any faster. 1,000 feet or 10,000 feet you're still going to hit the ground at the same speed, around 120 miles per hour. It's interesting that some animals have a terminal velocity low enough that they should survive a fall from any height. Sadly, we're not one of them.
