Just in time for 8.1 too! "Absoloute beginner?" That's me alright.

Thanks for this video! Some great tips in here :)

14:40 most modern systems will be fine with a 128 block size (buffer), try 64 too if that works without introducing clicks, to keep the latency down. You can always increase it during big mixing sessions if needs be.

59:10 streaming platforms do usually have a recommended volume in terms of LUFS that it's good to aim for when mastering your tracks...

1:02:49 at this point the mic is also recorded along with the keyboard part, because the track is still record enabled from earlier - easy to miss! In case anyone was wondering why Chris then deletes the top part recorded :)

Hello sir,
I have a problem with Studio One Pro 8. I recently downloaded it on a new computer, but I used to have all my projects and sounds on Studio One 7 on my old computer.
The problem is that I can’t find some of the sounds I used before, especially Vintage Keys and Synth Session. I used to find them in Presence XT, but they don’t seem to be there anymore.
Almost all of my songs use these sounds, especially “Synth Session” and “Vintage Keys”, so I really need to find them again.
Do you know how I can reinstall or recover these sounds in Studio One Pro 8?
Thank you very much!

As an absolute newby [FSP 30 day demo, day 1]. Using Scarlet 2i2 [Gen4]. Got as far as metronome [could only hear with headphones on Scarlett2 - direct setting OFF]... but then can't hear guitar [unless DIRECT set to ON]. 29 more days for the penny to drop. Great vid... I will work it out soon.

Ok now I can't hear my track or even the click count in through my headphones. I can hear my guitar that is plugged in.

It wasn't recording and I found out a setting got changed. I had to switch back to focusrite. After that guitar would record but now I can't hear the track. I don't see where it says playback anymore. I saw it the other day when I was commenting. Now I don't. That's gotta be the problem. My screen doesn't look exactly like yours.

I'm ready to get figuring stuff out

Update: I switched back to windows and I could hear my track so there has to be something I'm missing to set playback and audio in to the same device. Also all of the sudden (before I switched to focusrite) my guitar panned hard to the left but it was still in the right a little. I found the pan switch and it didn't do anything. I don't know what I'm doin at all but I know I didn't do anything to make it pan. I was just trying to add another track to double the guitar

By the way, I'm getting a lot of unusually long, unskippable ads during this video - is this a setting that you can change? It's really going to put people off watching the whole video! Thanks.

Hello and thank you in advance. I have a question, please. I would like to know how to add preset settings to Valhalla Vintage Verb Echo.

Can you install this app on an external drive and run it into your laptop without bogging the internal drive down with the software? Kinda making it a plug and play? Thanks for any help

Choosing 1 / 4 as a time signature is ... unusual! I wouldn't recommend that for most people starting out, I think it might be confusing?

I began an installation of FSP 8.1, upgrading from Studio One 6 Artist Edition which came with my interface. Couldn't complete the installation for lack of space. Freed up space. Couldn't continue the installation. The DAW installed but, A LOT is missing.

I AM the NEWB.

Would love to get back to the installer so I can decide what to install and not install.
