And this only a tiny, tiny sample of our gastronomy...

Fun fact, more than half of all olive trees in the world grow in Spain.

Just a quick clarification: street food is not permitted in Spain for health and safety reasons. You won't see food stalls on the streets like you do in other countries; they are only allowed during local festivals with the proper authorization. Best regards from Spain.

You have to come to Spain and try our gastronomy part of it, anyway. To try it all, you'd have to travel all over Spain, since each autonomous community has its own unique gastronomy. I'm sure you'll enjoy it and fall in love with our food. Warm regards.

We, Spaniards, use garlic and olive oil for everything 😂
Love your chanel and your nice Bostonian accent 😊
Greetings from León, Spain.

You won't believe this: when I was a kid in the sixties—especially in small towns—our afternoon snack (that break around six o'clock after school, like tea time) was often a slice of bread with oil and sugar, and a piece of chocolate in the other hand. Well, sometimes with wine too—yes, wine, sugar, and chocolate!
It was delicious .

spanish guy here. I`m from the south of spain, the area called andalucia and here we say that if you want to try how good or bad a place is, order croquetas. Why? because croquetas are easy to make, everybody can prepare it, but not everybody can do REALLY GOOD croquetas. If you order croquetas in a bar or restaurant and you see that they are home made and really, really good, it means, no doubt, that the cookers are good. It`s an easy way to measure the quality of the place. And croquetas are cheap, no matter how good they are.

Mostly of that video are our "Fast food", not reach the gastronomy level of Spain. These are good, but are the "take an go" samples or the tiny bit you eat before go to party.

In Spain, there is sunlight in the summer until 10 p.m. or even later; that is why dinner is eaten later—usually at 9 p.m.—since it doesn't get dark as early as it does in the Americas.

We don't do fast food, like walking and eating, we tale tame to enjoy the food, and most of the time enjoy the companie

Come visit us for a week or so and you'll never want to go back to USA Sofia. These clips dont make justice for how they taste! You've got to try Valencia's paella and fidegua 😂

From Barcelona.
Gracies😊

Boiled ham is pink because they add nitrites or nitrates to it. Those act as preservatives, but have also been linked to cancer. Spanish Jamon only uses sea salt. The dark red colour is natural, and comes from the pig's diet (mostly acorns) and lifestyle. The meat is marbled.

This is a sample from Catalonia and the Basque Country. But there are many many more gastronomies in Spain.

In Spain, 9 pm in the summer is mid-evening, so going to bed at that time isn't advisable. Right now (July), it doesn't get dark until 10:30 pm and the sky is still light until after 11:00 pm, so if you have dinner at 7:00 pm, you'll be hungry long before bedtime.

The main difference between Iberian jamon and that pink ham you eat is that yours is cooked, while Iberian jamon is a raw pork leg that is salted and left to dry in special rooms called “secaderos” for months or years.
Chorizo is a sausage made from pork, and there are different varieties. Some are best eaten raw (on their own or in a sandwich), and others can also be eaten raw but are best fried (ideally served with a fried egg and beer). This type of chorizo can also be used in a wide variety of stews.
In this video they show a small amount of dishes. Spain has a wide range of dishes. Try to find some Andalusian receipes next time.

We have many cheeses here, and we are the kings of sheep and goat cheese and aldo mixed milk cheese ( mixed milk from different animals, 2 animals or even 3)

Late supper because it’s a late huge lunch, around 2-3 pm, then siesta, then back to work, so you’re refreshed for the second round.

14:14 This is my favourite seafood dish! Love it!

You can make croquetas with any filling you desire in the bechamel. They used to be made with the leftovers so usually chicken, cocido, bacalao (cod) or any stew leftovers.
