Cool deal; got one in my car. I believe these studs are to be torqued at 14 ft/lbs but 16 is fine.

Awesome. Would you happen to know if this will fit a type 3, pancake motor? I know the pump will physically fit into the block, but I’m wondering if it will clear the fan shroud

What do you think of the pump now? I just picked one up to run a external filter on the build for my wife.

It looks like the top barb is interfering with the engine mount?

Did your engine tin clear  and not rub the pulley?

While you had the studs out , You stick the pump in and see if it needs to be knocked in with a hammer . A stock VW pump has to be beat in . Schadeks are close but if you mic a VW pump with aftermarkets they are small .  Out there in the 0.0000 they are all over the place. When you torque the bolts that grab the pump you should not be able to pull it out by hand ........ I am not trying to knock your work - H-LL I love your engine . Down here in Corpus I am in the same situation - no machine shop . later
