Hey All! I kept seeing loads of coverage about Chaiiwala and its rise so this week, I just had to check it out for myself.

Have you been before? If so, what’s your order?

Immediately after watching your video I was checking Just Eat to see if Chaiiwala are in my area. Three quarters of an hour later, my order arrived. It didn't disappoint, you weren't over hyping and, I have a new favourite place for food and drink. Thank you so much for introducing me to Chaiiwala. Only one order so far but everything was well priced and of the highest quality.

I work at a branch of Chaiiwala and the desi breakfast coming with only one curry by default trips literally everyone up, I also wish they would put only one of the things on there.

All of my school friends meet up after work and often stay till they close. Its genuinely so nice having a peace to chill late at night and catch up with chai

Based on this video, we went to our local Chaiiwala today (first visit for everyone) and we loved it. Had the family platter and also tried the karak and pink chaii and the mango lassi.  It was really enjoyable !! As you suggested, the chaii are quite sweet, so perhaps order them without sugar. For me, the toasties and the mango lassi were the best items - both really good and the pani puri were something none of us have experienced before and we really enjoyed them.  Great video !  We will definitely try Chaiiwala again in the future.

The pink tea is Kashmiri  chai it's made a whole different way to the regular Karak chai and Kashmiri  chai is very laborious to make

Chaiiwala is well known around London amongst the south asian communities.

Chaiwalla is way better than Costa or Starbucks. Better food, amazing drinks. Amazing atmosphere. No wonder they are such a big hit.

Found out there is a location near me in Toronto.  Called Chaiiwala of London here and the menus are different in each province.  For example Ontario and BC get "gourmet cakes" and Quebec gets Nutella and Biscoff wraps.  They also have a butter chicken poutine.  25 locations currently; 1 food truck, 5 locations listed as coming soon and 1 as temporarily closed

Man, that food makes me miss the Indian place we had near me years ago, one thing I love about Indian cuisine is just how VAST the range is. Depending where the chef is from or what they prefer making you can get savory/spicy/sweet from the same basic dish. Food ideas: Pick one country and only eat cuisine from that location for a week, or try to eat the oldest recipes in the UK. Since you've done cheap/expensive already, what about surviving on foods that take the least amount of cooking/prep, the simplest possible recipes?

Gunpowder is essentially a type of side -seasoning made from different roasted lentils,  dried chillies, cumin seeds and garlic.

Gunpowder is more common to South Indian cooking and is sprinkled on things like dosas, idlis and uttapas.

The traditional dry chutney (popular in Maharashtra) that is served with vadapav is a peanut chutney. That is fried crunchy peanuts, dried chillies, red chilli powder, garlic and jeera. It adds crunchy bits of peanut to the mostly soft vadapav.

I guess they did not use the peanut chutney due to nut allergens.

I went there for food before the theatre in Milton Keynes. Was lovely. Didn't know it was a tea chain as i was focusing on the food lol

I used to order from there all the time during COVID and then I moved and I decided to order from them again recently and the prices have rocketed from what they used to be. I remember being able to get two drinks and wrap for like £6 😢
