Innocence is and of itself, NOT a virtue, instead, it is, often, a weapon to be used AGAINST the TRULY Innocent, by those who ALREADY possess more than enough power to have their desires made real, and, are allowed to wreak their will on anyone WITHOUT any legally recognized power or identity!

I read the giver and its so deep, it changed my perspective on the world, I dont ever wanna say heaven is amazing, and pain, suffering and etcetera is bad for our world, with everything we have in this world its perfect like this. I recommend you guys to read it, when the soft spoken father of Jonas "released" a weak baby of twins (sanitized word, that means murdered) was painful to sit through. Jonas and Gabriel, the little brother that they would release because he wouldnt let the family sleep luckily made it out alive after escaping and giving the community the memories Jonas got from the giver. They mask violence of things in sanitized words, and after 3 mistakes=youre a burden for the society, and they "release" You. And they even taught him not say he's not starving, he's hungry, but at the end he nearly starves with his little brother. It was a painful and very teaching book. I hope you guys read it.

I have to admit I never understood the struggle of the protagonists in the story "Button Button"... My first question would be "If I push it multiple times, do I get more money?"... Am I alone in this?!?
