Here's a head trip: "Never Let Me Go" was written by the same author that wrote "Remains of the Day."

I don't like how you presented This Perfect Day. The whole point of this book is that Uni isn't a vaillain. It's a system, trying to do its best. To give people what they have always wanted - no wars, no crimes, peace, stability, harmony. It comes with a hefty price, true, but it was meant with the best of intentions. It was meant as an act of goodness

What makes Room even more  disturbing is that it’s based on the real-life Josef Fritzl case, which is even WORSE than the book!

Gregory’s transformation in the metamorphosis is really an allegory for disability. One day he’s productive and everyone counts on him. The next day he no longer works and everyone has to adjust to a life where they were dependence on him. Because they have to adjust, they treat him like, vermin, pretend he doesn’t exist, it is horrifying to imagine what it would be like if it happens to you, or to see it from an outside source if an injury has caused something like this to happen to you

I read This Perfect Day in high school and couldn't remember the name of the book. Ive been looking for 30 years. Thank you!!!!!

This perfect day sounds a lot like the movie Equilibrium. Christian Bale is the main character and it’s a fantastic movie !!!!

Honestly the saddest part of The Room is when Lisa is tearing him apart

I feel like alot of people forget two key things about our guys videos, art is subjective and he makes these to help us discover literature we havent before. You and him won't always agree on how a book should he interpreted, and thats part of appreciating the art. Lets all be civil here

11:40 "From the moment i understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me."

I never felt such anger and sorrow for Gregor Samsa. But it gave me such an insight into how some men feel. They are used and chewed up and spit out and no one cares because they are no longer useful.

I remember reading the Cement Garden years ago, so it's a bit fuzzy, but if I'm remembering right, the reason the kids could pull it off is because they managed to look really normal and ordinary to the outside world for way longer than you'd think possible, so no body really suspected anything.

Definitely gotta reread this one!

Never Let Me Go was an incredible and heart breaking book, but the movie straight up broke me.

I discovered this channel about three hours ago. And now I get this

I agree that the ceiling is way too damn high when I go outside. Urban hermit.

I can't believe you havent included "Last Exit to Brooklyn" yet

11:36 From the moment I understood the weakness of my flesh, it disgusted me

When I saw “Machine Man” I thought it would be an old science fiction novel.  It came out in 2009.

As a Warhammer 40K fan, praise the Omnissiah!

16:20 The first few times I read this I ugly cried. Its how I felt when my severe RA and fibromyalgia took me out of work. Ive been going to all these specialists for years. Some days rhe pain is bearable but some days are agony and psychosis.

Watched all three other parts last night then woke up to this; les goooo

my dad watched the never let me go movie and thought it was a true story
