People know Korea for a lot of things, but I find most of the world doesn't understand how insane their military is. My father-in-law fought in Vietnam with Korean troops, and he told his family when he got back: "Korea is the country to watch in the next few years or decades. They're going to get huge, I promise you." He was right. He used to tell me stories about how when the Americans worked with the Korean soldiers, there was an ease of mind because the Koreans GOT IT DONE. My father-in-law described them like a pack of wolves when they had a mission. Just precise and deadly.  

Mind you, in the 1970s, Korea was still a poor, struggling country. They had no right to be as efficient and effective as they were then. Now they're a first-world global power with one of the best militaries in the world - with only 50 million people. Proud of you, Korea! From the folks here in America. Awesome allies and good people.

This is why I support Samsung. I once did crude tanker inspections and I was always impressed by the Samsung ships. You can have faith in what South Korea builds.

As a former mechanized infantry soldier in KOREA, the K9 was like thunder in god’s hands to me.

Korea was such a poor, small land no natura resources damaged by decades of war and look at them today they are a world power. Only with hard work and their brains.

Korea is a country that produces the most reliable products in the world.

INDIA is Planning to get Another 300 K9 with Local production, making it 400 units in total.

Finland (FDF) is buying another 112 more K9's from South Korea. We already have 96 of them so in total will be over 200 with those after that patch hits in.

Tempertures going below -20 degrees at winter and going over 40 degrees in the summer with weeks of continuous rain… If something works well in Korea, it probably works well in any environment.

Poland and india have bought them and both of these customers were so happy they gave orders for more. Polish crab and Indian vajra versions were not only reliable but easier to maintain and worked well in both desert and mountains . Probably most all rounder artillery system

Koreans are workoholics its part of the culture. And whatever they put their mind to they seem to excel at fast. Small country but the people are so smart they produce like a giant country.

Back when I served in the artillery about 25 years ago, the 155mm towed howitzer was the backbone of the South Korean military. But now, almost all of those batteries have been replaced by the K9 self-propelled howitzer.
The pace of modernization is remarkable.

South Korean weapons are very cost-effective. It has strong firepower, also is reliable and practical. Much better than those superficially clever Japanese equipment.🧐🧐 I think the Dutch Landmacht needs some K9 too.
