Jonah rest in peace. The greatest who ever played the game in his position.
The size of him playing wing was unnatural coming in the professional era was unseen back then.

Jona Lomu, the guy that you said makes it look easy, is probably considered the best to ever play the game. you got a good eye lol

Just imagine if Jonah Lomu never had that kidney illness and was playing to his full potential? For years Jonah was only playing around 70%

Jonah Lomu was the greatest rugby beast of them all. Big and fast!  RIP Jonah!

When Jonah came on the scene, rugby players didn't get paid at all. He drew so much attention to the game, it reinforced the need to take it professional. This happened in 1996. The first Rugby World Cup was in 1987... Then another in 1991. Imagine going to a weeks long tournamennt and not getting paid. Rugby was always a game played for love. It still is, but there is now a pathway to a career in it.

Jonah is considered Rugby's 1st global superstar. Humble boy from the South Side of Auckland.

Jonah Lomu  was a god,
The first really big winger who could  step as well as run., made his world cup debut  in 95,
There is a  ps2,ps2 compatible  game with his name on it,

When Jonah Lomu died, at forty, an IRISH newspaper had a black frame with his face as the whole front page. A newspaper in another hemisphere

Jonah definitely should be number 1 1000%

even as a proud south african supporter of the Springboks, i was always terrified, and excited when i watched Jonah Lomu play. He changed the way rugby was played forever, speed, power, agility and fitness. Truly a gentle giant for NZ. Rest in peace Jonah.

RIP Jonah Lomu Thank You for ALL THE Memories. Miss You Love You My Brother.

Pierre Spies (no 3) is by far the nices man ever. He is such a gentleman with young players. My son played with him when he was in the younger Bull squad. The use to work out together. His dad held the 100m  record for years in SA.

There's a fella in New Zealand names Cameron Skelton, he was spotted during his first game after the off season after bulking ad 6"11 and 170kg (375lbs). During the season he cuts down to around 155kg (340lbs). His older brother Will Skelton played for Australia and currently is playing in the French league.

As a New Zealander where rugby is a sport that has a deep and long impressive history,  l congratulate you on finding this sport interesting enough to at least have found a video that outlines and summarizes the laws of the game.

I love watching 'newbies' reactions to rugby videos.
Especially if they're  from the US because l know that NFL has a cultlike following and is another sport that has some similarities to rugby and as a contact sport also has moments of sheer athletic strength, speed, agility and mental aptitude in an arena that can also include brutal game, season and career ending moments for the players.

Respect 🙏

You presented a pretty accurate assessment of that lineup👍. The one you called out to be different was the GOAT.  6.5ft, 120kgs, but the stat you didn't see was 10.8sec 100m sprint.

You need to realize these guys are proper athletes...rugby is non stop, running, wrestling picking yourself up of the ground your fitness has to be insane.

Je vois Tuisova jouer tous les WE, et c'est un monstre de joueur, il est impressionnant à chaque match.

RIP Jonah. Probably the greatest and freakiest player to ever play.

Its not just the weight and speed but alot of Pacific Islanders are rock solid and literally feel like tackling a tree

Lomu was the GOAT...coming from a South African that says a lot. Please have a look at Bakkies Botha. He was known as the Inforcer in a World Cup winning team. He was the most feared man in rugby.
