The case of Caroline del Valle, the fourteen-year-old girl who disappeared in the early hours of March 15, 2015, in an industrial park in Sabadell. Eleven years later, she remains missing, and no one has been arrested or charged. This isn't the story of a disappearance: it's the story of a search that wasn't conducted. Nearly seventy minutes, with five voices in addition to the narrator.

Caroline del Valle Movilla was fourteen years old and lived in the Zona Franca district of Barcelona. On Saturday, March 14, 2015, her mother gave her twenty euros at an ATM, and she told her they would meet later. She didn't go to sleep where she had said: she ended up in the Zona Hermètica of Sabadell, a district of forty nightclubs in an industrial park, at a drinking party with about twenty minors. Around five in the morning, a patrol car from the Mossos d'Esquadra (Catalan police) approached; the group took off running, and she was left behind. At 5:55 a.m., her phone rang a friend, but she didn't answer. This is the last anyone heard of her.

The video shows how they searched for her. The report was filed twenty-one hours later. For almost three years, the case maintained a single hypothesis, one that made searching unnecessary. The case wasn't reopened by a piece of evidence: it was reopened by a television program in January 2018. And the only objective piece of information in the case file—the location of her phone—remains unexplored.

As of March 2026, the case is, in her mother's words, legally closed but not by the police: it's being handled by the Mossos d'Esquadra's Central Homicide Unit, there are two official, incompatible hypotheses, and both remain active, Interpol is searching for her in 197 countries, and the investigation is awaiting reports from Google. The video doesn't close the case, because the case isn't closed.

WHAT ALMOST ALL COVERAGE GETS WRONG
• There was no raid: what is documented is a patrol car that approached the group of people drinking in public. “Raid” is the word of the witnesses, not the police.

“It’s archived and nobody is investigating it” has been false since 2018: the case was reopened, the judge admitted five investigative measures in July 2014, and requests have been made to Google.

That her phone “turned off on the way to France” is not proven. What is proven is that it jumped from cell tower to cell tower faster than you can walk.

In March 2015, not a single line was published about her disappearance: the first piece of information located dates from 2018.

ABOUT WHAT ISN’T BEING TOLD
Caroline is missing, not dead: her file remains active. In eleven years, there hasn’t been a single arrest or charge, and no one is being singled out here. The three young people who were with her were minors and are not named.

SYNTHETIC CONTENT
The voice, music, ambiance, and effects are generated by artificial intelligence. There are seven synthetic voices—five characters, the narrator, and the voice of the announcements—none of which is that of the person being portrayed, nor does it come from a recording of the case. One of them is a dramatized portrayal of a real person, the boy who ran with her—never arrested, never charged, never accused—and he only speaks his five published lines.
