Another week of frugal family meals! This week I'm sharing some of the budget-friendly dinners I made for my family using affordable ingredients and things I already had on hand. From BBQ chicken croissant sandwiches and orange chicken meatballs to spicy tteokbokki and honey mustard baked chicken, we're keeping dinner delicious without spending a fortune!

I'm also sharing a homemade banana Nutella cake made with six overripe bananas!

Honey Mustard Baked Chicken Recipe:

6-Banana Nutella Swirl Sheet Cake
Ingredients:
1 box (15.25 oz) yellow cake mix
6 very ripe bananas, mashed
1 egg
¾ cup all-purpose flour
1½ tsp baking powder
½ cup melted butter
1 tsp vanilla (optional)
½ tsp cinnamon (optional)
½–¾ cup Nutella

Instructions:

Preheat oven to 350°F and grease a 9×13-inch baking pan.

Mash bananas and mix with the egg, melted butter, and vanilla. In a separate bowl, combine cake mix, flour, baking powder, and cinnamon. Gently fold dry ingredients into the banana mixture until just combined.

Spread batter into the prepared pan. Warm Nutella slightly, spoon over the batter, and swirl with a butter knife.

Bake for 35–45 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the cake (avoiding Nutella swirls) comes out with moist crumbs and no raw batter.

No additional milk or water needed!
