In the first arc of the YuGiOh manga, there is a chapter where the Domino school had a small "legally distinct Digimon V-pet" chapter. This means this video is the YuGiOh content we all subscribe for.

Rata talked about Digimon. Millions must get v pets now.

Lime Geremon and Mercurymon are such fresh new characters, I can't wait to see them again

20:50 Ah, yes. The One Whose Code Was Scanned.

The opening more or less says "you will get your report on the support, when i feel good and ready to report on it"

Even if the rough beastly aesthetic of digimon was left behind, they've done a really good job of making most digimon FEEL like a digimon. You would never mistake a digimon for anything but what it is. Does that usually manifest itself in examples that play into the whole "Guns, belts and jeans" joke? Sure but I think one of the things that's saved Digimon from the trappings of other "Poke-Clones" is that digimon are very clearly their own thing. Its when they TRY to be more like pokemon that it usually fails and I'm happy that the series has kept its visual identity through everything.

the on loop butterfly is clearly to tell everyone around you that you're, in fact, not broke

Digimon content + rata is truly a matchmade in peak cinema

Konami orbs being referenced in this video [canonized in the RVU {Rata Videographic Universe} for the first time] means that the Pathetic Aesthetics are canon to the RVU and since Ojama Lime appears in pathetic aesthetic that means all of the Archetype Archives are canon meaning Archetype Archive, Digimino and PA are all canon to one verse and then Legacy of the Worthless is the product of the Malefic Rata universe.

Shape-Mercurymon destroyed me at the end. Jimbles is a fucking gift lol.

Digimon Survive has an item called the Crunchy Clobber Carrot, a carrot with two muscular arms, the description for which is: "Anything could happen with this carrot. Logic could go right out the window."

Always a fan of just, things in general from Rata, especially stuff like Digimon and the like.

Numemon are truly the Ojamas of Digimon.

Edit; I wrote this before I saw the ending

Digimon was a primordial memory for many people.
One particularly magical aspect of cartoons at that time is that the dubs were always wonderfully horrific. Or horrifyingly wonderful. Sometimes both.

Justice for lime Geremon

Kind of surreal to see someone talking about Digimon and how they discovered it through the Italian airings I grew up with.

6:50 "Cosmic Blazar Dragon appears to be pregnant with one."
Good for her.

It's amazing how everything you make is a clear product of passion. I don't know very much of anything about Digimon, but I could still feel just how much you do through both the analysis and the jokes. Well done.

Glad to see you exploring the v-pets! I didn’t get one until 2020, but they are fun to run for a few months.

Also, fun fact: the original Digimon sprites were made before the official artwork. Watanabe then made designs based off them. Thats why Mamemon and the like were created, because the sprite artists wanted to create the smallest possible monster that could still be expressive. That’s also why you can find early artwork for Digimon (mainly the C’Mon Digimon manga one-shot) where they look different than their official designs.

"That show about small animals that turn into big ones" may just be the best way to describe any show ever

The shadowy mastermind of pop culture has talked about something. The zeitgeist has been altered.
