Digimon is one of my favorite Franchises of all time, but for the first time ever, i'm diving into its origins: the Digimon Electronic Pet. From the original Digimon to the anime inspired Digivice, I'm feeling like a DigiDestined.

Hey man, Not sure if you'll see this comment on this old video, but seeing this video 1 year ago got me HOOKED on digimon like nothing else. I started playing with all of the virtual pets, and I now have a job drawing pixel art VPET sprites for people. This video seriously impacted me for some reason, and I have to thank you for that.

Here in Iran Digimon got popular because of its Dubbed show on national television. While barely anyone knew Pokémon.

Godzilla kaijus turning into v-pet sprites then turning into Digimon is my new favorite thing and hands down one of the coolest things I've ever seen in my whole life

With how many years Billiam has been talking about lost and once upon a time, I almost forgot he’s super into digimon, glad I got this reminder of that .

9:40 "the man is not even 16 by 16 pixels big but his heart is 4k." Such an underrated line. That had me laughing.

0:44 32 pixels wide and 16 INCHES HIGH?!? Damn that's one hell of an aspect ratio.

23:04 Don't think we didn't notice you using a Pokemon energy card instead of a proper Digimon one

A Digimon video from Billiam in 2025? Oh, I'm SEATED!!!

For the digivice color, the reason that the music stopped playing is that if you hold the B button you'll mute it while traveling. Hold B to unmute it if you want it back.

I know this is something different but for anyone who played Cyber Slueth, World Dusk and Dawn knows how addictive it is to raise Digimon on the farms. It's like chao garden in the Sonic Adventure series. I can only imagine what it's like rasing these things while doing a full job at the same ttime.

6:23 Actually, the way the device works does give you some wiggle room for sleep. You can send the digimon into a 3 hour nap by clicking the sleep button while they are awake, and the nap will turn into actual sleep if their bedtime comes before the nap is over. Thus the 8 hours of natural sleep (with the 11pm bedtime) can be extended to just under 11 hours if you really stretch it.

Also, training can also build strength, not just protein.

31:47 That crossover actually started with an april fools joke, the Medabots team made OmegaKnight which wound up debuting in Medarot S Unlimited Nova and the Digimon team made Omedamon which ultimately debuted in the Vital Bracelet dim card but would also appear in the Japanese release of the mobile game Digimon ReArise (the global release sadly did not include it even though some apparent BS legal issues with Medabots in Europe are apparently no longer a problem).

Fun fact: There was recently announced Godzilla collab with Digimon after all these years for a new V-Pet that even has new Greymon forms that are combined with Godzilla and you can raise Godzilla it's self with other Godzilla kaiju
