“Sydney sweeney is evil irl” lmao why because she did a jeans ad? okay you woke British cuck. Hows London and the UK looking these days with your pathetic tolerance?

While S3 is the worst for sure, I personally think Rue being killed instead of overdosing adds to the tragedy of the story. The fact that Cassie went “well she was a drug addict” sums up how she’s generally remembered despite wanting and working to get better.

implying that cassie's ice skating scene was "style over substance" just tells me that you're only engaging with this show on a surface level. The scene is symbolic of her tragedy, with her fantasizing about the life and identity she could have had while getting an abortion she was basically pressured into. While making one of the most pivotal moments of her character arc, she retreats into a fantasy that shows us what she could have been. It's a very deep scene that shows us a meaningful part of her psychology but yeah totally, it's just "style over substance.

Take a shot every time he says "wacky" or "shenanigans"

the shade on alexis demie and maddy is so odd to me, shes an amazing actress and maddy is such a complex character

19:14 the title of this episode (‘03 Bonnie and Clyde) is the name of Jay Z and Beyonces first music collaboration and it’s about supporting your man no matter what sinful or criminal thing he does. I think given the whole Tyler subplot, the episode title is pretty much telling you what Maddie’s mental state is at until the season 1 finale.

Don't worry guys The Sopranos ranking is coming! (its never gonna happen)

I love it when I can binge a show leading up to the live finale! Well done!

Trouble Dont Last Always is fucking peak. Its the single best episode of the entire show and i love it so much. i recommend that episode to everyone, even if they don’t wanna watch the rest of the show. Its actually that incredible.

I will defend season 2 till I die. First of all, three of its episodes are among the top 4 highest rated of the whole series (that being the premier, episode 5, and episode 7). While I do know it’s not as put-together and cohesive with its aesthetics and messaging as season 1 was, I found on a rewatch that it cut so deep. The second half of the season really sold it kind of starting with episode 4 - the I’m Tired scene and the Drink Before the War scene gives me chills every time, and the “See you assholes later” ending montage was perfection. Seriously, rewatch it. Especially knowing what happens in the next episode, knowing it’s essentially the destruction of Rue and Jules’s relationship.

I also enjoyed that it felt both more nihilistic but also more hopeful than season 1, especially with Rue. Some of the characters were definitely stunted, but overall it just felt so existential and moving. But again I think Rue’s season 2 journey along with seeing her from Lexi’s perspective really established the season. Rue’s journey through almost overdosing, buying that suitcase, hitting rock bottom, battling through withdrawal, seeing herself in a new light through Lexi and then leaving with hope was beautiful and devastating to watch.

Good list!  Good breakdown.  My faves S3e8 “Goodbye Rue”, s2e5 “Rue gets the Emmy”, s2e3 “Oklahoma”, s1e4 “The Carnival”, s2e8 “The play pt. 2”

If you were to watch season 3 and take a shot every time someone says the phrase “Onlyfans” , you would be dead on the couch with Rue by the time you get to the final episode 😭

glad you put the first special episode as #1. it’s literally my favorite tv episode of all time i really appreciate the writing sooooo much.

The media you decide to watch over other media confuses me a bit, love it HN

It’s 1am rn and this PEAK jus dropped. Nice😌👍🏾

You can bet when I finish season 3, imma be comin back to this

I would love if they released the Season 3 script just like they did for Season 1. Like, I want to think there's a gem hidden beneath the mess the season ended up being in production, which ruined everything.

1:06 im actually cleaning but I appreciate the callout for those of us who use videos like this as background noise LOL

15:33 the halloween episode is amazing what… the worst episode of season 1 is probably 5, the maddy stuff is very good but everything else is boring like rue, kat, jules have nothing going on this episode

Where has your podcast been all my life??? I love your perspective and sense of humor. #subscribing👌🏾
