I wish I could break into your place … not to steal but to Unhaul the books you were on the fence about 🤭

@julies_reading 8 months ago

challenge: if you dont successfully lend the “lend” books within a year or so, they gotta go😂

@fancifulimpression 8 months ago

I want you to unhaul the books you don’t like even from authors you do like 😅 it is okay to collect just your favorites!

@avsambart 8 months ago

Meg, you know deep down you don't lend books 😂

@kate-ne 8 months ago

Keeping the lights up while unpacking the shelves was sending me 😂 I love unhauls though, SO much more than hauls 🤭

@NovelNanny 8 months ago

Now go back and donate all the books you were gonna “lend” or books you know you won’t read again. Take a pic and frame it if you have to but keep the memories and pass on the book to someone who will or could actually love it!

@steprmar 8 months ago

You don’t need to keep books you don’t like to own all the authors books! I used to do the same thing but it literally became an eyesore for me looking at books I didn’t like but wouldn’t let go. Release them!

Just FYI you can’t sell ARCs, I usually give them to friends or little free libraries! Now you gotta unhaul from your tbr 😈

@michellef301 8 months ago

Glad you had Toby to help encourage you to unhaul!

@SophiaZofia 8 months ago

No unhaul from the tbr? This means another unhaul video let's goooo

@MeetMeattheBookery 8 months ago

I unhauled 31 books the other day and I felt so accomplished!

Good bookshelf purge! Unhauls are so revealing (I really don't understand keeping multiple copies and mediocre books when shelf space is needed - but you did a good job letting go). Inspiring!
Little Free Libraries take ARCs and you can add them to Bookcrossing also (Bookcrossing is a fun way to share favorite books).
Letting middle grade and young adult books go to the right reader is such a social good in my opinion.

The clickbait tho

I think the first video I ever watched of yours was you setting up these shelves so seeing them bare again is sending me down memory lane

This was so satisfying to watch! I do feel your pain, as I moved last year, from a home I lived in for 20+ years, and I had triple the books you just went through. It sucks to pack/move them, but it’s so nice to get them reorganized and on new shelves!

@AwkwardBookworm 8 months ago

When I moved… I made the mistake of not unhauling anything and just packing it up and hoping for the best… I had like 93 boxes of books so you are smart to do this 😂

@ghosttownpoltergeist 8 months ago

Aww I liked Toby getting to hang out a little bit in this. Moving books is always such an ordeal, I know the pain

@kimmibythebooks 8 months ago

I feel like for books you didn't love but read a while back and feel the tug to keep (ie If We Were Villains) that's a good push to give some books a second chance 🥰 you may have find your tastes and preferences have changed, and maybe you'll enjoy them more now!

@InSophiesBooks 7 months ago

This is so satisfying to watch ❤🎉 congratulations on the unhaul! It can be difficult sometimes to get rid of books especially ones with memories attached

@Netflixandcry1 8 months ago

It might not be a bad idea to treat your bookshelf setup as an unhaul as well. If you didn't love it and it's not worth rearranging your bookshelf to display it, let it go. Congratulations on unhauling so many books! I know that unhauls are tough to do :)
