i will be sat for the potential moving vlog/book organisation once you move

Even though it often feels like a crime to part with certain books, sometimes there’s just something so refreshing about freeing up your shelves to fill them with even better reads! Hope moving out isn’t too stressful for you 🥲🫶🏻

Little trick for moving with books: instead of fillings boxes of books, try doing half boxes of book/half of lighter stuff (like clothes, etc) so the weight isn't as bad!

"We're gonna unhaul but I'm not gonna unhaul so many shelves" xD

as much as i love your current bookshelves, im so excited to see your new place!! (and im so sat for this video omg)

I never put books on my shelves that I haven’t read yet. Now that I have watched so many bookish videos I realize everyone puts books on their shelves that they haven’t read yet. 😮

As someone with many books and many move: SUITCASES!!! Some of my really nice books i did put in a box but for alot of them i just put in rolling suitcases to make transport easier!

I love unhauling books and putting in my local little libraries. That brings me so much joy, especially if I find books on my TBR in them in the meantime! I found the hardcover of Dungeon Crawler Carl and paperback of Second Death of Locke last month in one by me.

I'm actually a little surprised you also didn't unhaul Starsight as you didn't like it. You could maybe just keep Skyward for the memories and that would safe you having to move another hardback

tip for moving with books: use the square book boxes that are smaller than the regular rectangular small boxes (I got mine from UHaul)

I recently unhauled over 300 books. They were books that I either would never reread because I didn't like it that much or they had been on my shelves and I haven't thought of it in awhile. The longest is probably 10+ years because I had a huge problem getting rid of books and kept saying well what if. But there were books I couldn't even remember. For the books that I remembered and was on the fence of getting rid of, I made a priority tbr list for them so I can decide on keeping or getting rid of.

Who doesn't love Rachel Gillig One Dark Window Series. It's one of the best fantasy romance duologies!!!

Pillars of the Earth NEEEEEDS a rebinding with a naked hardback like A Study in Drowning. I would sell it out myself.

i love unhauls bc it inspired me to do it for my shelves!

Parting with Murderbot? Damn, Katie, that is whiplash if there ever was any!
Yeah, Halowe'en Party is one of the much weaker Poirot entries by a long shot. Kenneth Branagh had to do a lot of plot reshaping to make the film version (Haunting in Venice) work.
It's going to be surreal not seeing you in this particular house. Also: knowing cats, Winnie and Daisy will feel surreal not BEING in that particular house.

Pro tip! buy totes with wheels to move your heavy stuff it's so much easier

I really enjoyed Halloween Party - it is an Agatha Christie that I happily reread. It was the first book with Ariadne Oliver I read - she makes a fun foil for Hercule Poirot. I also enjoyed the recent adaptation by Kenneth Branagh. So you now have several people giving positive comments about that book.

@2:37 KATIE! I am so behind on your videos, and I had a heart attack when you pulled The Vampire Lastat off (but yes, put it back up). I was one of the original people who told you he is your favorite character, you just don't know it, yet! Please read that book. Season three is also coming out, and it is finally giving Lastat's POV! 🥳

My last unhaul was in the Fall when I dropped off pumpkin spice style books I didn't like into little libraries.

love me a good unhaul. whenever I'm dragging my feet on decluttering, I watch an unhaul and suddenly I am Marie kondo.  good luck with your move!!! <3
