Special thanks to the SW Galaxy Project for making this video possible: https://swgalaxyproject.com/

Nice video, this is what all us nerds want. Idk if u confused it or something, but the Chiss Ascendancy did not believe in preemptive strikes even when threatened. This was the one of the reasons Thrawn was  exiled, he belived in preemptive strikes. The Ascendancy had a strict code for never engaging in combat unless shot at first

So, Luke Skywalker wasn't lying when he said "If there's a bright center to the universe, you're on the planet that it's farthest from" when he was on Tatooine.

Hey!  SW Galaxy project here!
So glad that you like my map!  It was super fun to make and took far too long. Development has stalled due to time constraints (as I am just one person in college lol), but if anyone would like to participate in keeping it up to date, visit the website for more information.  Thanks again!

8:58 - Kamino isn't located in the Outer Rim, isn't it? Dexter said they're located beyond the Outer Rim, South of the Rishi Maze, and it's considered to be extragalactic. It can be classified as Wild Space too.

8:28 *Concordia is the the moon of Mandalore. Concord Dawn is a planet in the Mandalorian sector, and homeworld of Jango Fett

bro we all know the sequels aren't canon their just expensive fan fictions

I hate to nitpick at all because this is fantastic, but given it's maybe my favorite location in Star Wars lore I feel strangely obligated to point out that Nar Shaddaa is not a planet, but the largest moon of Nal Hutta (and kind of like a dingier mini-Coruscant). The Smuggler's Moon will always be my favorite ❤️ thanks for an awesome video, my dude!

Petition: get Disney to retcon the Star Wars map to make the unknown regions and wild spaces names’ to be swapped around ( it would make wayyyy more sense )

The number of ruling families in the Chiss Ascendancy changes, it is not permanently set at nine.

14:00 I believe that the planet Teth is also considered part of wild space. Regardless, amazing video!

11:00 You mention the Unknown Regions are in the eastern part of the galaxy, but they're on the left/western side of typical maps.  Is the Star Wars galaxy "upside down" where North is at the bottom and South at the top? Or did you reverse your directions?

It will always be korriban....damn disney

9:18 Actually it's Korriban. Founded after the 100 Year Darkness long before the Galactic Empire.

Great video but I have a small observation/suggestion/addition to recommend. I think the video would benefit from more clear delineation about which planets exist in Canon and Legends continuity because as it stands, the map is a mishmash of planets from both continuities.

Personally, I find the idea of integrating canon and legends planets onto a unified map very cool and I think it is something that Disney should absolutely do at some point. But as it stands, planets like Zakuul and Iokath (if you can call Iokath a planet) do not exist in Canon, while planets, such as Hosnian Prime, Jakku and D'Qar don't exist in Legends.

As such, the galaxy map is in a weird limbo, combining elements from both Canon and Legends while it is not wholly consistent with either. But again, great video, I very much enjoyed watching it.

Somehow, some way the Corporate Secfor is probably worse than the Galactic Empire.

How about a video listing  all of Clone Force 99's plans ?

Once again, my fav SW YT channel comes to the rescue with a detailed map of the Galaxy

So your telling me the rotated the capital of the galaxy so no one planet could have "Unlimited Power!!!!"

Chiss are completely against first strikes except thrawn
