Guys unless there’s confirmation of AI-use I cannot in good conscience theorize. Mistaking human-made animation for AI will only encourage companies to fire more teams of real people. If you have evidence that’s one thing but people have “cried wolf” before. for example Alice’s Wonderland Bakery is another Disney Jr CGI series. It is human-made but people have accused it of being ai. Human-made art is not above criticism but the paranoia and misuse of the word “slop” will cause more harm than good I assure you.

When you remove an aging characters wrinkles an angel loses its wings.

Going to assume that the green girl’s entire personality is gonna be “I am the Lorax and I speak for the trees” and nothing else

It's all shits and giggles until someone giggles and shits

the way Sofia and that nature girl's wands turned green and pink. Cosmo and Wanda you're not slick. unless the wands are named Elphaba and Glinda

Personally, I wish they aged them up, this could have much more potential for an interesting plot especially since that audience of original show has also grown up

ohhhhh no. oh Cedric honey.....no baby what did they do to you.....they smoothed faced our pretty old man....

the new wand design is showing me one thing.... thats gonna be a toy. thats gonna be a toy with lights and sounds and kids are gonna be all over it

I really hope they’re not replacing Clover with that dog unicorn but it I lowkey feel like that’s exactly what’s gonna happen

For me personally, I think the highly saturated creatures of Elena of Avalor generally work MUCH better for that series specifically since it seems to very clearly invoke Alebrije, a type of Mexican folk sculpture made of wood or paper mache that has very fantastical looking, brightly colored animals from colors to features and more. There's a clear inspiration to the creatures in EoA imo. Whereas the unicorn dog thing feels like "ah yes, girls like unicorns, they like puppies, marketable plushies here we come!"

Cedric actually isn't an old man, the creators have said hes younger then he looks, and from flashbacks we know hes younger then king Roland. He just finally got some sleep.

A few things I’m worried about. Mostly retcons

-Sofia was going to go to Ever Realm Academy with Amber at the end of the original series but now she’s in Charmswell. Is there going to be an explanation for that?

-Where’s Sofia’s enchantlet? Is she still a protector?

-Are Sofia’s family going to remember her powers?

-Why is Sofia back in her original dress? Her other dress was supposed to be representative of her growing stronger after saving Elena

-Are Sofia’s other friends going to be prominent? Are they going to remember Sofia’s magic too?

-Where’s Clover?

-I hope the wands don’t overshadow the amulet

-Is Charmswell a boarding school or will we still see Sofia go home so we can see the castle characters like Cedric and Baileywick?

Now here’s a few comments about the video itself

-Eric Stonestreet is in the cast so Minimus will be here

-I believe the amulet works like this. Before Elena was trapped in it, the amulet worked with how Sofia is able to choose her powers BUT the amulet is always connected to all the princess that ever were as Cinderella put it. I believe you were dead right about the princesses being dead in the series when summoned by the amulet. Or at least some of them. This is based on the fact that Princess Charlotte says “I used to have an amulet just like that” when Sofia is summoned. BUT this was after the amulet changed color from purple to pink, so Charlotte must have owned the amulet AFTER Sofia and you’re prying that amulet from Sofia’s cold dead hands. I think eventually Sofia will get so good at giving advice to other princesses that she can sing a song and leave like most princesses did for her. All this to say, hopefully we can get other princesses like you said, namely Moana, Raya, Mirabel, and maybe Pocahontas since she was the only one who was an official princess when Sofia started airing

I don't want to be that girl but WHY ARE THEY SO BABYFACED? 😭

Also THANK YOU for talking about Cedfia, I was literally a kid looking for fanart and found SICKENING amounts of it  and I STILL haven't recovered.

Wholesome fanarts exist, but boy, do they feel few and far between sometimes. 😭

The new theme song came out and it's an assault to my ears. Idk why they didn't just change the lyrics or something simple! They put a hip hopish beat that doesn't fit the old timey vibe that makes it sound like they're musically fighting for the spotlight at some points. It really doesn't work for me, but I hope that the show somehow still turns out ok 😭

The first episode came out and it wasn't horrible, but it does have a different feel. Ms Nettle did come back, and she's far more prominent but she's good now and I find her a bit less interesting and fun, but I don't completely despise it

Im surprised with Sofia being back at purple since her dress in the og series in the later season  was mostly pink and i think in a ponytail. Idk maybe they are going back to like og sofia

I’m gonna make a prediction Sofia ends up in Neverland at some point… probably in an extended episode.

I hope the wands use the Tinkerbelle logic of "The wand and the magic chooses the wielder." Like Sophia's could be more centered around society and helping and we have someone who has more elemental magic

8:00 or, another concept, she DOES go to the magic school, but would be put with an older class bc of her proficiency in magic. I think it would've been cool to explore the concept of gifted kid Sofia with older peers on the same level of magical prowess

This is how I found out there was a reboot

I feel like the art style looks like those Ai baby videos and I can't get over it

9:19 Guys😭😭😭 rip to my king Cedric. Blud went from being so twinky to ‘how’s it going with ur homework there bud.’ 😔
