I made a very warm 'blanket dress' for my winter wardrobe out of some thrifted tartan fabric that I had in my stash. I also lined it with a few different remnants and scraps that I also had in my stash so it made for a very inexpensive project!

It is giving me Regency 'Jane Eyre' vibes and it is super comfortable and warm. Hopefully just the thing for a European winter.

I had the idea based on the fabric and just wrapping it around myself until it felt right then I went through my thrifted sewing patterns to find a pattern that would give me a starting point. Style 3153 seemed like the perfect thing so I took inspiration (and not much else TBH) from the pattern and made it work in this very heavy blanket-style fabric.

I'm really pleased with the result and it is very toasty!
