I read a piece of advice a while back that helped me a lot....try on every top with every bottom. It was work, but, it really helped me to see new combinations that I'd never have put together before. I also have a rule that every item should have at least 3 ways to wear it....that helps me to decide what to make or buy, or, even better, what NOT to, lol.
Loving this series, it's inspiring!

I love this! I love following along with your thought process and seeing the light bulb moments you have. I've not ever put much thought into these things. Most of my clothes have come from thrift stores, or lower prices places online. Now that I'm back sewing i am trying to pull a more cohesive wardrobe together. You are definitely making sense! I’m much older than you but I’ve got the same problem. When I look in my wardrobe I struggle to find things that will go together yet it’s appears to be full of clothes (and it certainly is). Thank you for this series as I really do feel I need to “start afresh”. Take care ❤

It so makes sense Ruan , sorting out colours sounds the right thing to do .I open my wardrobe see a riot of colour that’s been there years , shut the door and put my old jeans on again . Really helpful , inspirational , super colours for you. Thank you for sharing your thoughts, xxx

One of the parts of looking effortlessly cool is having clothes that fit properly, and you've got that well in hand. The other part is that all those effortlessly cool people on social media are styled and photoshopped to the nth degree! And someone took like 100 photos of them and then picked the right one! Cool in real life is about attitude, confidence, faking it til you make it. You're cool! I hope that working through a wardrobe process helps you feel more at home in your coolness.

This is so helpful to us all. I think you have a great personal style which is why you like dresses. These color combinations are very chic . More pants and skirts will give you more co-ordinating opportunities , and then some colourful print tops . Can't wait to see what you make. We all have to remind ourselves that 50% of being stylish is confidence.

Great video! I think the biggest gift you can give yourself is getting as much as you possibly can out of your wardrobe and making it disappear! I can see how much clarity you are getting from working with this selection, and it's inspiring you! Totally agree about wanting to be able to "throw together" an outfit of x, y, z and not feel like a clown, sigh.

I do think you are going about things in the right way. Taking out your clothes trying them on and grouping your colours together. It's easy to forget just what we have otherwise. I need to do this myself. But far easier to put it off. I like your colour schemes they are interchangeable.
