Linny told me to do this in 2025 before I even started posting on social media lol, had to make it for this reason. After editing I realized I forgot a few points like Wang Chan but oops.

WOW making videos about Jojo's Bizarre Adventure has been fun, JJBA has always meant a LOT to me and it's crazy cool that my content has resonated with people. We mostly made this video because Linny wanted to rant about SBR since Steel Ball Run has a lot of dudebros that don't understand it but still wear Gyro Zeppeli and Diego Brando profile pictures. Drawing Johnny Joestar on the thumbnail was really fun, drawing in general is fun and I want to do 2 different art projects next one surrounding Yasuho and another surrounding Yoshikage Kira. I think the Kira will be first but we'll see, I unironically want to sneak in John Rod - it'll make sense I promise. I like making things. Jojo's is cool. Can you tell I wrote this at 4am? I'm so sleepy. Uhhh Golden Wind , Diamond is Unbreakable, yap yap yap. Giorno Giovanna - ok I'm tapping out WOOHOO.

Also Kira could definitely be read as a portrayal of toxic masculinity, considering his desire to live alone and how he takes from others, particularly women, consistently throughout the part. While Josuke is positive masculinity, maybe even more so than Jonathan, with Josuke using his strength to lift up others even if he can’t always protect himself, and also being fruity as hell (him and Okuyasu are a classic example of bromance).
Then there’s some other smaller notes, like Okuyasu’s story being about moving into the world from a broken family (ending with him finally becoming free from feeling like he needs to listen to his abusive brother), Koichi finding his confidence through specifically not getting together with his love interest at first (and by extension giving Yukako more characterization by that leading to her getting the Cinderella arc with her as the protag of it), and a very successful immigrant through Tonio
The only main non-woke part of part 4 I’d add is that Terunosuke is the only poc in the part iirc and he’s portrayed as a stalker villain. Though you could also read it as him being a weird teenager with him talking about how he just liked to watch people get scared before he was given a Stand (I don’t think he was ever given an exact age, but he was originally called “Enigma Boy” so I’m inclined to believe he’s under 18)
