Out of all the games I’ve played

1) Far Cry 3
2) Far Cry 4
3) Far Cry 2
4) Far Cry 5
5) Blood Dragon
6) Far Cry 1 PC
7) Far Cry 6

Pretty much the only game I don’t like is 6, every other one was a great time.

I really liked that you pointed out that it makes sense for the fc2 protagonist to be silent.

"Far cry 4 doesnt change the game enough fron far cry 3 to where its far cry 3.5"

Proceeds to explain how the game is different from far cry 3

The biggest flaw of Far Cry 2 isn't the weapon degradation(not even a flaw) or the malaria(arguable), it's how the respawning enemies work. They respawn when you reach a certain distance away from where you killed them. Now, I would not ever actually replace that system with how the games after handled it, but I would place a timer on the enemies instead. To me, the world shouldn't bend to your will the way the other Far Cry games do. So clearing out checkpoints or bases should not leave a permanent emptiness. Far Cry 2 is about chaos and not really a power fantasy. Not having complete control is part of the experience. Far Cry 2's setting is not a place you can just roll in and mold to your will. It's why 90% of the time, any plans you cook up for taking down a base or checkpoint will fail. So yeah, respawning enemies should stay but how it works should be handled differently. I can understand why some people don't like FC2 but tension and chaos is the game's strong point. At its best, no game in the franchise is more immersive.

My ranking:

1. Far Cry 2
2. Far Cry 5
3. Far Cry 4
4. Far Cry 3
5. Far Cry
6. Far Cry 6

Not counting Blood Dragon, Primal, New Dawn, or Instincts(which you forgot btw, if you're gonna count the other three then you have to count Instincts).

Low-key unpopular opinion:
1)Far cry 5
2)Far cry 3
3)Far cry 4
4)Far cry 6
5)Far cry 2
6)Far cry primal
7)Far cry new dawn
8)Far cry
I'm not counting blood dragon bc I haven't played it and it'd be unfair to put it on here

Tack för att du ger primal cred, den är underskattad och riktigt bra spel, en aning för kort story men riktigt bra spel.

Awesome👍

Far cry 3 and 2 deserve a huge remaster like what metal gear did with snake eater, or how the far 6 dlc Did Insanity

10:10 - Usually the Far Cry games would give you an option to spare the antagonist or a fairly valid reason to understand their motives. I didn't hesitate for a second to pull the trigger on these two at the endgame.

Story aside, I've been playing through the games in order and there's a massive drop off in how fun the game feels once you hit New Dawn and 6 with their enemy tier system. In New Dawn this isn't so bad but in 6 it's insane how you have to have multiple loadouts saved depending on what you are shooting at and be swapping gear mid combat if you want to do maximum damage. If you dont do this, it feels like the enemies are bullet sponges unless you want to just play armour piercing rounds and go for headshots all the time. That and the companions are all terrible, die immediately in combat, their AI sucks and the games easier without them. Plus a lot of bugs. It's like they didn't QA test 6 at all when they released it, I am glad I didn't pay full price for it as I'd be angry if I had.

In FarCry 2,what's with people in the game hopping up and down, and sliding away from the player??

1) Far Cry 2 , Absolute generational breakthrough , In 2008 you played Far Cry 2 a year after Crysis 1 in 2007 , and then you played GTA IV , you probably thought that by 2025 we'd have open world games where the entire map is destructible and everything has awesome physics.....lol.

2) Far Cry 1 , Massive graphical leap for video games, it was the only game from that era that could get close (but lose) to Half-Life 2.

3) Far Cry 3 , not much to say, im not a fan of beloved franchises getting more casual but Far Cry never had a high skill ceiling to begin with, 2 was a fluke.

4) Far Cry Blood Dragon , i love 80's VHS aesthetic.

5) Far Cry 4 , it just feels like Far Cry 3 in next gen graphics.

The rest i dont care much for.

Primal my personal fave

For everyone who says far cry 4 is the same as 3. I just flew a helicopter to a vehicle take down, drove it into a fortress, threw down bait so a pack of wolves came in, shot a grenade launcher from the drive seat, and then called in back up to help take it over while I climbed to the top of a guard tower with my climbing rope. Try doing any of that in Far cry 3

15 minutes to kill Mickey and lou? You did NOT have the best weapons in the game. One of the coolest aspects of new dawn is that you can infinitely upgrade weapons. You can walk into that battle and wipe them out in seconds flat.

And the leveling of weapons is deeply tied to the challenges, it's meant to be paired together, so you earn skill points while using each weapon type. If you miss this, good luck going back and trying to use a level 1 shotgun once you're at elite. It's supposed to incentivise you to use each weapon type as you level up.
