Gran Turismo Tier List. Not including 7, since it isn't out yet. I swear to God there will be braindead scrub lords watching this a few months in the future when GT7 release and I guarantee they'll comment: "bUT wHErE iS gT7?" too stupid to realize that this video was made BEFORE GT7 launched.

Also JK, I love January as a month. I'm just crying about my Ad Revenue is all.

Moral of the story: if polyphony launches a not-so-good Gran Turismo, the next one will be amazing

Fun fact: Yamauchi, the main director for all the Gran Turismo games is a legit racer, he has raced in Nürburgring 24h races!
Major respect to him!

I still have nightmares about the nurburgring license test in GT4.

GT4 is still a true masterpiece even today. Unmatchable, seriously.

I was admitted to the hospital when I was 9 because I contracted the seasonal flu, but because I was really weak I have a chance of not making it.
I remember my dad bought a used ps3 and GranTurismo 5 Prologue then hooked it up to the hospital's TV and to be honest, all I can remember was my mom sitting beside me
while my dad was playing the ps3. I remember every time I woke up was because of the sweet engine sound from Granturismo, He put a controller in my hand so that I would think that I was the one playing it. GranTurismo would be the series that I would hold closest to my heart even though I don't play that much console game, but If it wasn't because of it, I might not be writing this comment today.

Fun fact on GT2, the PS one disc used to have a piece of coating on it which was supposed to smell like burnt rubber when you rubbed it

I remember getting my PS2 for Christmas when I was like 9, and the first game I played was GT3. I was blown away. I couldn't believe how good the graphics were. It blew my mind.

I've never had so much fun playing a GT game as playing Gran Turismo 5 online! It was an incredible experience racing against other players around the world in low-tier PP cars where it was all about talent than BHP! I was so gutted when they cut the online server.

Gran Turismo 4 is one of my favourite games of all time. I remember playing it with my father on the PS2 when I was a kid

Something no one seems to talk about with GT5 is the trading aspect with used cars (early in the game). Used cars were decently rare, and so trading with people was HUGE.

GT4 actually had decent sounds too in my opinion. I remember european exotics and JDM cars having a very memorable and unique sound to them. Also cars like the Caddy CIEN had unique and extreme sounds to them.

“Even at the time of release this game was just a cut above average, nothing to write home about”. Saying this about GT1 and following it up by saying it didn’t have much content is absolutely insane.

Gran Turismo was absolutely revelatory. It was a huge, huge deal and just about the most extraordinary racing game ever released at that time. It had 11 tracks and 180 cars at a time when it was standard for racing games to have around 6 tracks and 10 cars. It was the overall best selling PlayStation 1 game for a very good reason.

I’m guessing you’re just too young to know better, which is fine. But, y’know, google is free.
