I'm a mechanic and one of the best dumb owner stories I have is a person bringing their car in to have the brakes checked and they said absolutely DO NOT check the rear brakes because they don't back up that often so the rears are fine. Also their "dad is a mechanic" and they'll know if we're tying to screw them. Pulling it into the bay and you can immediately hear the metal to metal brakes on the front. Rears weren't far behind. They declined service.

I can't believe these people are REAL. Some basic ball knowledge:
1. Have car check ups every 6-8 months
2. Pay attention to your dashboard
3. Don't drive in water, fire, hurricanes, and flooding
4. Learn how to change a tire, replace oil, and windshield fluid on your own
5. Never run red lights
6. Use your signal. No excuses.
7. Buckle up every time, no excuses
8. Look both ways when turning.
9. Never text and drive
10. Your car payment should never be over one thousand dollars a month.

Check engine light was at first a "your engine is cooked", now it's a "oh no a worthless sensor failed on purpose 😥, pay is 1000 dollars otherwise you'll hear a bell everytime you start your car 😢, oh nooooo"
