The thing that I find special about the "nocturnal" Systems is in it's name. The fact that it can work.. Efficiently during the night, aka without the sun, which was one of the "flaws" of the earthmovers and the reason that led to their ultimate failure.

Fun fact: V1 is using the nocturnal system, you can tell via the ingame menu being the same as the nocturnal system icon

I find it really interesting that the first look at God’s true form in Ultrakill is in the layer of *Fraud*. I dunno if I’m reading too far into this but since this is all made by Hell, which is sentient, it feels to me like Hell is calling God himself a fraud for abandoning his creations(including Hell).

With the dead V1 and the puppet strings, a lot of people thought it was a representation of Hell being the puppetmaster of V1 as a metaphor, but it's ALSO literal, because the first time you see the Mirror Reaper after grabbing the Blue Skull, in the reflection it's holding the the wooden cross with your strings on it.
