"Boys will be boys."

That is the most Reagan thing I have heard ever.

"What is the worst fear of the pilot? It's not to get killed. Is to blow the mission!"

That takes some balls: making that sort of a bomb run in a fighter stripped of its ability to defend itself.

This host has a superb voice

I didn't learn until well after the space shuttle Columbia disaster that astronaut Ilan Ramon, a member of the Columbia crew who died, was one of the F-16 pilots on the Opera mission.  Quite an intersection of history.

I have this buried somewhere on a $2 DVD. Best $2 I ever spent!

Wow. Can't believe I haven't seen this before. Great treat! Thank you for a great upload.

Hell yes! Great topic. Thanks!

This is the real Top Gun: Maverick.

An intriguing flick filled with prescise strategic planning. A documentary of sacrifice and heroic action. The expertise of the pilots was executed perfectly.
Thank you for sharing this with us.
Watching and overwhelmed from the Fiji 🇫🇯 Islands.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

this is sooo amazing true story. worth a movie. conspiracy between Iraq and France. emotional and nerve racking journey and flight of the pilots. the long preparations. the changes made on the planes. mozzad's operations. everything was amazing. so inspiring.

Whoever let that bit of Alphajet film in there, thank you.

I have witnessed this attack live in 1981 as my father was posted in Iraq as a government diplomat from India. I was 9 years old then. Now at 51 seeing this video i can recollect what happened, how the aircrafts came and blew up the reactor. Bagdhad turned into darkness in seconds. The commanding officer of the reactor committed suicide by shooting down himself.

I think it was about this time that most of the world finally understood that you don’t mess with Israel. They were willing to do what was necessary!

Here I am watching this documentary 41 years to the day of this epic mission.

I witness this event. I was 13 years old, lived by the Old Jisr Diyala (Zafaraniyah city) when I saw for first time a black jet fighters came from west ( the Iranian jets usually came from East to attack) flying over the restricted area of  Al Bo'eitha, then fly down vertically and bombed the area. The Iraqi radars was put in sleep, No Air raid sirens but the ADA guns start 7 minutes after the bombardment.

The video was very informative. Thank you very much.

Very interesting documentary. Thank you for the upload.

This is basically just Top Gun: Maverick in real life

"There is a second engine. The ejection seat."
