Few countries  would have the balls to do what Israel  did, and succeed
As a Canadian,  iam proud to see that canada and Israel are friends and allies.

My dad once narrated this story to me when I was 12..He was a Captain (Kenya Army)...He was trained in Israel, India then Sandhurst Military Academy way back in 1980's...RIP dad

This occurred at a time when no nation appeared ready, able & willing to halt the slew of terrorist hijackings that were going on at the time. It was a boost of good news in the era that was sorely needed. The Israelis deserve immense credit for carrying out this dangerous but courageous rescue operation. Kudos.

I was in a US Special Forces unit at the time and we were envious of the Israelis

Salute to those IDF Commandos who participated in the Entebe rescue operation. Even today I tell my friends about this operation and their love and dedication towards their country. Tributes to the fallen brother of PM Benjamin Nethanyahu.

I was steward in Air France Cie at that time and we had been so touched by the Israeli operation and the lost of the commander on the spot.

As an American, I think this my be my favorite story of heroism I've seen. I've watched a lot of military docs and film. Huge kudos and RIP to those heroes lost that day.

I remember marveling over this event at the time and the courage this team put into rescuing the hostages. It still impresses me to this day!!

This is one of those flashbulb memory events, where everyone remembers where we were and what we were doing when we heard of it. Truly amazing.

Regardless of a man‘s background, one has to admire that Israel and its army officers defend their Land and their citizens regardless of the difficulties. Not many countries in the world have the balls to do this to that extent. The motivation is love for your own people. This is one more reason to respect the Israelis.

I love how the military decided to just go instead of waiting the politicians to give them a thumbs up. The IDF knew they weren't coming back even the prime Minister last minute decided NOT to engage the military Ops. What a legend 👏 🙌 💙

This happened in a time when real men took control over terrorism and they were heroes in our eyes. I was only 13 at the time but I can remember the feeling of pure joy when my parents told us about it. I wish that people these days had  ⚽⚽ like these men had and to squash lawlessness with such intelligence and speed.

The only thing left for the rise of evil...IS WHEN GOOD MEN DO NOTHING! Hats off to the brave few that saved many✋

As a Jew in America,former special force, I feel great pride and respect for the awesome task accomplished by this men, GOD bless them

I remember hearing this in the news, and we were all amazed that they actually SUCCEEDED.  The Terrorists almost always won before that - THIS was the turning point!

While I was just 21 I was already involved in military operations. I clearly remember the day that the air france was hijacked. The speed with which this operation was mounted is not the first nor will it be the last. The risks involved were great  anything going wrong is also the death of the hostages and the mission members. It is a seriously huge challenge to achieve the intended objective. the members chosen for this mission met that challenge and more. Very well executed raid and losses were absolutely minimal. Impressed yes absolutely.

I remember my father once telling me about this daring rescue as he heard about it on the BBC news. I watched the movie as well. But it doesn't show half of what really happened with all the amazing planning. But this documentary really showed the rescue in great detail. I felt tears coming into my eyes when I saw this amazing  documentary and the veterans who served in the rescue speak about all their experiences. So many times I could see how God was with these Brave Soldiers all the way through out the rescue to save those  hostages. All I can say is God Bless Israel. It is my dream to visit the Holy Land some day. I would love to actually meet  any of these Brave Men some how and shake their hands.

I like how the Israeli commandos were very honest in talking about their fear.  They didn't act like they were fearless cowboys.

These men are true heroes.
