This is the sort of exciting stuff we had before the avalanche of superhero movies. The 90s is now as old as the 60s was in the 90s, yet it holds up much better for most people.
I was 21 when this movie came out, didnāt see it immediately. I watched it at a friendās place a few years later, at his insistence that āyou have to experience thisā.𤯠A few minutes after the credits finished, as we sat there in silence and awe, I looked over to see my bud with a wicked grin, waiting on me to recover. He said nothing for a moment, then just one question. āAgain?ā I just nodded. I have since watched this masterpiece dozens, if not hundreds of times. I still catch things on every viewing. My favorite film of all time.
Watching people discover this film was my introduction to the reactor space, and yours, my dear, was amazing. Look forward to more!ā¤
Definitely my favorite reaction to this movie. I love to see someone as blown away by the plot twist as I was the first time I saw this. Keep up the great work. Love you channel.
Chuck Palahniuk's impecable prose, David Fincher's unmatched filmmaking and the absolutely sublime casting of literally every actor involved... Fight Club might be THE perfect movie nobody's allowed to talk about.
No shame, it is a great movie. It is great cinema. Keep its director in mind, David Fincher is one of the greatest director alive right now. Its cinematography, editing, and sound design/scape are absolutely top shelf. I watched it first when it was released in a theater in Paris, and yes it had a huge impact on the public, a deep resonance especially to masculine issues that still exist today.
Two famous singers: Stage name āMeat Loafā, RIP 2022, played Bob and the bleach blond guy that got beat up badly is Jared Leto lead singer of the band ā30 Seconds to Marsā and an Academy Award winning actor. Also, the guy that was too young played Private David Webster in Band of Brothers.
It NEVER gets old seeing people's reaction to the Tyler reveal. lol This movie is excellent for so many reasons. Hasn't left my favorites list since I first saw it. David Fincher (director) is a genius. He also did Se7en, Alien 3, The Social Network, Zodiac. He has such a signature style. This movie is stylish, timeless, smart/clever ("how's that working out for you, being clever?"), has action, suspense--really the whole bag. And the rewatches don't really get old, because you can connect all the dots/signs that he's Tyler. Super smart flick. They don't really make them like this anymore.
