the ocean noises, freezing berdly in the ice temple, and then. "follow the white cloak". she's not following us, we're following her, just like how we did into the lake

Loading your whole fucking soul into the game as a controller gave me goosebumps when I saw it.
If it said 'DEVICE connected' I would have lost it.

this route genuinely freaked me out after i finished the first board, i mean, the music after you kill all of them, and the fact you’re alone is creepy by itself, i expected like some fun game where you level up and gain powers, not through a snowgrave-esc route, even if the area has no music it still freaks me out, and thats basically why i like it, its literally horror game material

when i played this blind and discovered this part of the game, it felt so weird and creepy. the part where you kill your party to level up and Kris looks back at you each time you do it.. it made my skin crawl. toby knocked it out of the park with this one

The fact that the strange soundtrack sounds like distorted ocean/lake waves was insane foreshadowing for the weird route for ch5

Kris: wow that sure was a fun gameshow board with my friends
The nefarious soul, about to turn them into a creepypasta protagonist:

All the enemies' resemblance to undertarle's characters is really unsettling, i didn't bothere to make any comparison until i saw that alphys looking dinosaur...

Doing this in the Pacifist Route just so Kris knows what I’m capable of

I love how perfectly crafted the intro to this secret is and no one praises it enough
The abrupt cut with the ominus message, The noisy and inelegant hardware and it's transition to the game. It perfectly evokes that feeling of playing games that you barely understand at 3AM in the darkness of your room
You could tell what kind of games Toby Fox loved, and that love bleeds a lot into Deltarune

The sword route is arguably the most interesting part of deltarune for me because it's so enigmatic and allegorical. Already, it alludes to different chapters of the game like the shelter, hometown, cyber world, but it's also the only part in the whole game that implies the existence of an alternative route. A route that's not part of the prophecy. No one except the player should know about it, and yet it's tucked all the way in the back of Tenna's board game. Why did tenna of all people include instructions on how the player can change the prophecy?

Regardless of who it was, the snowgrave route is promoted as this way of going against the prophecy and following the player's will. And then there's a hidden area inside Tenna's board game that straight up explains what happens when you follow the player's will?? it's breaking the 4th wall the way it knows about the player's evil desires. Also this makes me wonder if the ice palace present in the board game also exists as a real place in the light world. One of the most mysterious locations in the whole game IMO

Playing this blind was one hell of an experience

I did all this just to get wiped in 2 turns by the knight :(

Interesting things Ive noticed doing these MANTLE games:

1- Desert region enemies dont become aggressive or cause damage until the player reaches LV2
2- Island region enemies dont become aggressive or cause damage until the player slays one
3- Creatures slain are tallied on a blank bullet point on Kris' power screen
4- Completing all 3 boards causes Kris to do triple damage on Tenna during his fight

having to kill the yellow dinosaur that looks like alphys is also concerning btw

28:58 When lil Kris tries to attack Susie, she isn’t knocked back by it. Kris pulls her away. If it actually hit, it’s possible that if she got hit, she would die like any other enemy in the game would

this game is literally just the kris torture chamber

When Kris turns back at you after it says "You were used up", that sent shivers down my spine.

18:35 "Dude you know Kris flirts with every enemy righ-"

The Deltarune secret routes always feel like creepypastas
