My father bought me  Webley Senior in .22 for my 13th birthday, I still have it, I'm 65 now.

You can tell it’s a premium pistol the moment you pick it up, I had one in 1968 I was 15 , happy days 😉🇬🇧

I still have mine, in the box with a pair of barrels .177 and .22 inch. Beautiful air pistol made with true craftsmanship.

Nostalgia, I had a junior (177) and later a senior(22) in the mid sixties ,  every lad had air pistols and rifles, BSA air rifles were popular, had a Slavia pistol that was quite bulky, like a rifle with a shorter barrel and body but cocked the same way as a rifle. What with catapults, crossbows and sheaf knives we were well into weapons and it was all normal in them days. We never killed or injured each other for all that, it was a great childhood, allowed to take risks and do dangerous stuff, good to get it out of your system when your young😊

I had the Seniors with .177 barrel and a interchangeable .22 barrel.
I still have my Hurricane I found in a pawn shop in Mission,  British Columbia Canada in the early 90's. Still shoots perfect around 440fps

My dad died a year ago and I've just discovered a Webley Senior in his loft, wrapped in an oily rag. It's a Birmingham 4 model with the 177 barrel. Batch no. 285. With it was an original Webley tin full of what look like the original pellets and three green darts too. I've not cleaned it or fired a pellet through it yet but it seems to work well enough. Condition-wise, it's very like your dad's. I also found a BSA 177 Standard Light which I think was made in the 1920s or 30s. I'd no idea it was up there so it was a pleasant surprise. Last but not least, a chrome Gat Gun in excellent condition. Again, I had no idea it was there. My dad was a teacher through the 60s, 70s and 80s and it wouldn't surprise me if he had confiscated it off some kid. So, I went from having no air weapons to having three. I'm not planning to keep all of them but as I do remember the Webley from my youth, I'll be keeping it. Great video. I'm sure it'll help when I take the Webley to bits. Thanks.

My Dad had one of these . I followed the instructions that I found in the gun's cardboard box to take the gun apart , as a teenager might . The instructions said to use the barrel sight to unscrew the air cylinder barrel end cap . Do not do this action with the barrel , use something else instead , else you risk bending the barrel that holds the pellet like I did !   Very tight .....

The Senior exudes quality. I've had one since the 70's. They have several including one boxed now in Perkins Guns, Northamptonshire UK.

For more than 37 years I own a Webley Tempest, I guess it must be the younger version of the Senior (or Junior?).. Very nice gun, still shoots straight and well.. :)

Rather than being named after bad weather, I thought the Typhoon, Tempest and Hurricane were named after WW2 Hawker planes! 🤔

Very enjoyable and nostalgic video. Webley's original premises were in Weaman Street in Birmingham 4, the '4' referring to the postal district. In 1958 they relocated to premises that were mainly located just over the city boundary in West Bromwich, very near to the Albion's football ground. To preserve the myth that they were 'Birmingham Made' (this being a sign of quality at the time; sadly no more) they used a purpose-built entrance gate that was just within the city limits.

At 13 I had a .177 Junior then the Premier, followed  by a .22 Hurricane with scope. Am 64 now!

I love my old Webley Premier in 22 its got a suprising punch to it and although not particularly accurate beyond 15 yds its fun to shoot and an Icon of British Gunsmithing you know you have got a quality Engineered Piece of British History in your Hand!

Remember buying a webley  Premier' had it for years even the box. Sold to a friend and never saw it again.

I have a small collection of Webley pistols including a Mk 1 Senior which must be 100 + years old. It has developed a very pleasant plumb patina and the wood grips which are at right angles to the barrel are still in near perfect condition. I still occasionally shoot it, the only thing that does not work is the push and twist safety. I shoot all of my pistols now and then, they all still work. I still can't hit a barn door at ten feet. I also have  BSA .177 rifle made in 1908. I put new springs in, it has two, a few years ago. The quality of the machining is superb and although not very powerful it is still incredibly accurate. I thought this post was really good and look forward to you doing more.

I remember the first day I saw one too, my mate shot me in the backside with an air-dart from one...

Great video, thanks for sharing. Around 1973, a friend of mine had a Webley Junior. It was great to shoot and being a smooth bore, could also fire airgun darts.

Built like a tank .
Great great air pistols.
My brother was a gun smith and did some sear refining on mine so they had very light trigger actions.
The 22 was a great little ratting gun the 177 was better for target shooting
