Leprous - Slave live in Rockefeller Music Hall!

They also played 'Foe' on this same concert. Live they're so good!

Leprous is my favourite band by a long shot. They have almost everything for almost everyone. For example, my recommendation for you to react next is their song Mediocrity Wins, from their second album, and it's the only song in their entire discography (2 demos, 8 albums, 3 live albums and 2 solo albums from the singer) where they straight up rap, and the lyrics are friggin awesome too, so it will be quite tasteful for y'all

Returning to what I was saying, they've delved into many branches of music, just like Queen, and although they are labeled as a progressive metal band, they don't like to be labeled and they only try to do the best music they can. They've done pure progressive metal (Forced Entry), death metal (Contaminate Me), rock (Stuck), pop (Alleviate), classical (The Last Milestone), hip hop (Mediocrity Wins), even some jazz (Faceless), everything in between and more

And if you think they could not be better, let me tell you this: their main strength isn't their studio proficiency. They are even better live. Check out Slave live at Rockefeller or Passing live in Tilburg, both performances almost ten years apart. They are beyond incredible

Besides all of that, their covers are beyond incredible too. They have a cover of Angel, by Massive Attack, and a cover of Take On Me, by A-ha (the latter was part of a recent challenge from the youtube channel Musora, where you can find the video of the making process and performance), and the singer, Einar Solberg has done two more covers: Radiohead's Exit Music (For A Film) and Queen's Who Wants To Live Forever

They are a pretty well known progressive metal band from Norway, very very good and very unique. So many good songs you could check out, Rewind, Slave, Below, Alleviate, Castaway Angels, Acquired Taste, Illuminate, Atonement, I could go on and on.

Einar, the singer, is easily the best singer I've ever heard live, amazing range and colors. But the whole band is amazing.

So pleased you did this, been my favourite band for a few years now, Einar's vocals are some of the most stunning out there. Even if this doesn't vid doesn't do so well as Leprous aren't well known, you should keep going with them for your own pleasure.
This is my first comment so I'll take the opportunity to thank you guys for all these years of entertainment, you guys rock!

I discovered Leprous around when this album came out about 2012. I like heavy prog bands so I’m always looking for new bands and these guys were up and coming prog metal band at the time.

Me and my wife are huge fans of Leprous. They’ve really developed their sound over the last decade and it’s always interesting. This song is such an odd first listen! So stoked you guys have cracked the seal.

@TheWackytor 3 months ago

They have a good variety discography, although im more fond of their first 3 albums, Einar Solberg keyboradist/singer from Norway is the primary songwriter.

@ronaldguidry2256 3 months ago

Einar, who is the singer, is the brother-in-law of Ihsahn from Emperor.

@BlueFire516 2 months ago

y'all gotta check out "The Valley" off the same album. So good.

@dadjeans391 3 months ago

So kind of random, but have you guys ever considered adding movie reactions? I absolutely love what you guys do, and I would be very interested in your views on movies!

@ZenAku902 3 months ago

Another amazing video. Honest question for you Trash Talkers, When could we expect to see you do reaction videos to the songs from the album The Rising Tied by Fort Minor? Keep up the amazing work all around.

Death metal is more thrash based in simple terms and deathcore is more melodic and heavy riffs on top of the heavy gutterals. Yes there are exceptions but thats the simplistic explanation. And yes possessed started death metal in 1980 but it didn't catch popularity until the big 4 of death metal. Death, cannibal corpse, morbid angel (original vocalist of cannibal corpses band after leaving) Deicide (which i absolutely love, satanic death metal) and obituary is like the exodus of death metal. Not the big 4 but a legendary band that influenced many bands. Carcass is another influential death metal band.
