In the 80s, every show had a quicksand episode! Growing up i honestly thought quicksand was everywhere and a real hazard 😂

As a kid from the 70s, I thought quicksand was going to be a much bigger problem in my life

I've never seen a hero chloroform a bad guy.

This video needs a Part 2, Part 3, Part 4...
There are so many movie tropes you could basically make it a recurring theme, that you keep for those days when you're not inspired!

THANK YOU for the defibrillator segment!  I have had multiple online arguments with people who insist that you can restart a flatline heart with a defibrillator.  I once had to explain to a colleague that the automatic defibrillators don't fire unless they detect afib/vfib first.  He thought someone could just put them on his chest and shock him...

"Your teeth are not rated for that, they're rated for sandwiches."  I love your choice of words some times.

Don't forget about the radiation giving you superpowers myth

I was hoping you’d mention the bald eagle call

The loud majestic call bald eagles do on movies is actually a recording of a red-tailed hawk call

Bald eagles actually sound more like seagulls irl

I saw Blazing Saddles and the quicksand almost got them for sure. Mel Brooks was pretty solid on his realism.

FINALLY, someone explaining defibrillators PROPERLY!!!

Fortunately, your chance of running into a t-rex is extremely remote.

Yeah growing up I really thought quicksand was going to be a bigger problem in my life.

Yeah- quicksand has played much less of a role in life than kid me anticipated.

You're half right about suppressors. If you fire them with regular ammunition, you're gonna hear a muffled, loudish bang.  You use subsonic ammo, and you essentially hear just the air blowing out of the muzzle and the sound of the weapon's action.

what do you mean my whole life has been a lie?

I am Gen X. Therefore I know that quicksand, is the deadliest substance known to man.

President Garfield died from all the poking around filthy doctors did rather than from being shot

The T-Rex with a salt shaker 😅

The gun one is pretty spot on minus one thing, if said person is using a .22 with subsonic ammunition your lookin at around 86 db which is way quieter and some people may genuinely not hear it and it’s still extremely deadly if played right

NY daughter once said that the best pick up line a guy ever tried on her was, Excuse me, miss. Does this rag smell like chloroform to you?
