Australia recently banned people from playing the games and spinning the lucky wheel at the Diamond Casino in GTA Online, but players can still make bets when it comes to races

They did the same thing in the Stick of Truth with the European release, but instead of the Koala, we got a picture with a facepalming statue.

They had to Censor even more scenes from Stick of Truth, and because they forgot to Censor 1 Swastika on one item they had to recall the entire first prints of discs

I remember in the early 90s when Night Trap came out and Lieberman was trying to get it banned for "its gore and bloody violence" (clearly had never played it)

I'm ashamed at how long it took me to notice the cat on the tower 🤣. Once I saw them, I couldn't stop looking.

So, the reason it was originally called Morphine in Fallout 3 was because that's what it was called in the original games made by Black Isle Studios.

Saints Row 1 and 2 had graffiti in it and neither of those games were banned in Australia whereas Saints Row 4 was banned in Australia for having a mission that involves drugs and as well as the rectifier probe DLC which is self explanatory and got the game banned in Australia instead of Graffiti which the game doesn’t have.

Hi, I really love your work. I wanted to chime in regarding Greece, as I was a teenager there between 2002 and 2006. I don't recall there ever being a total ban on video games. They were completely legal to buy—even in supermarkets—and internet cafes were full of PCs and consoles you could rent to play on-site. The ban was specifically aimed at arcade machines, mostly because the government couldn't tell the difference between arcade games and electronic gambling devices like slot machines.

Even when police occasionally targeted internet cafes, local courts quickly threw out the charges as unconstitutional, and a clarification in late 2003 protected net cafes entirely. So for players like me, business went on as usual without missing a single day.

Getting Up was a classic. I got the CE, came with art book w/ blank pages near the end, game branded silver Sharpie®, game soundtrack, BTS DVD, steel box, and the game. Better times, man.

Injustice Gods Among Us is named after the comics the game is based on. Might want to look in to things like that before calling out a name as being odd when it's literally the name of the source material.

fun fact that im surprised wasnt mentioned in this video. halloween the game copped the same classification refusal in australia as fallout 3 was threatened with because of one of the mechanics violating federal law. the fact yo ucan smoke weed that is literally named marijuana in order to see and fight back against michael myers in the game violates a law about incentivising drug use by having recreational drugs give a buff effect.

I remember a friend had the UK version of Fallout 2, where all the towns had disembodied voices you couldn't interact with... children, basically, "removed" to avoid a ban over violence towards children.

To be fair, there was no "protected status" for NPCs in Fallout in those days, so you there weren't any restrictions on what you could do to them.

Injustice Gods Among Us was banned in Saudi Arabia for having the word "Gods" in the title until the publisher changed the title to The Mighty Among Us.

Wonder why Jess didn't mention the most recent video game in Australia? The new Halloween game banned because Jason can get enhanced from taking illegal drugs.
