I feel like the only "flaw" Rancho had was that he was actually alone had no one by his side no family, people using him to get some degree, that's why for me it kinda made sense for him to be such an optimist and knowing all the answers I felt like it was his coping mechanism, he had nothing to lose only sometimes to give.

Fun fact — Aamir Khan said Rancho was originally written as way more cocky, confident, and “perfect,” but he toned it down to make him more curious and goofy so people wouldn’t get annoyed. So if you already feel he’s too perfect now, you probably wouldn’t have liked the original version at all 😅

This movie needs better updates subtitles, many jokes and one liners are missed in these current subtitles.

Keep going girl. ✨ Don't take any unnecessary pressure. You are doing great. Enjoy Indian movies as you go ahead...

At 28:00, "Balatkaar" directly translates to "Rape," therefore this phrase has a more surprising impact for people who understand Hindi.

This was my first Bollywood movie ever, I watched it as a teenager and fell in love with it. Though unrealistic at times but it was very inspirational. I resonated with Farhan the most, hopefully one day I’ll get to follow my passion too.

The flaw you're talking about the actor amir khan talked about it he said that rancho was written too perfect so he roughed him up by acting confused after he says something clever and everyone else laughing and all that😁

I think the thing about Rancho is that he knows that nothing he has is permanent because he has to give it up and start all over. He's learning for the sake of learning, he's being as happy as he can in the moment, he's giving it his all because he knows it won't be with him forever. He thinks he can't marry Pia because he isn't actually Ranchodas Chanchad. The degree he earned isn't his in the end. So what comes off as toxic positivity is more like...being grateful for being able to experience this when he didn't think he'd be able to, and with the knowledge that it isn't his to keep.

This has to be the BEST 3 idiots reaction and interpretation that I've come across. You go Jenny! So glad you actually voiced out your opinion on not appreciating Rancho's overwhelming positivity (that could also come under toxic positivity) and eventually warming up to him. That's the first time someone pointed that out and you're so right. So glad I got to see you react to this film and share your notes on it. Can't wait for the next one. If only the editing was delegated to someone else, we could get more frequent reactions from you. Lots of love from India. Keep them coming. ❤

they show him being ambidextrous when they introduce him, he taught himself to write with both hands to save time

Vote For Jab We Met

The moment you said, "It's none of his business". Let me tell you- It is his business cause she was mad at him in the first place that why he changed the speech in which her dad got insulted. And the demo was the defense mechanism to save himself and the girl. Plus his character is written in a way that where possible he enlighten people to expose their slave mentality.

I think Jenny has been through a lot of bad experiences. I understand we all have bad experiences. 😢

I’m one of the people who absolutely love this movie! And as you said, It’s one of my favourite movies if not my most favourite movie, and personally I can’t find any flaw in it….
However, I’m so glad for your honest and raw opinion and perspective, this is the kind of reviews I come to see and love, so thanks for checking this movie out and sharing your real thoughts and being yourself!❤

Great perspective, Jenny. I agree with the comments that add on to yours about toxic positivity being his coping mechanism. About Rancho's flaw, he faked his identity, it a crime! This is the biggest flaw of them all. We forgot that because he is our hero.😂Also, note that the narrator of the story is Farahan, his best friend, who sees Rancho as his savior and loves him so much. I think the writing is intended to idolize Rancho, because Rancho is Farahan's idol, he has no flaw in his eyes.

Rancho is just open minded person who likes to express his feelings and emotions or idea's. It's people choice either they want it or not, like an extrovert or ambivert

This was one film that arrived at the right time for me in my life (I was in first year university doing electrical engineering when this came out). The message of pursuit of excellence and more importantly having passion for learning has really resonated with me.
If you want really powerful Bollywood/Indian movies, I sincerely recommended TAARE ZAMEEN PAR (directed by the lead star of 3 IDIOTS (Aamir Khan) himself and is about dyslexia), SWADES (my #1 favorite Bollywood movie ever for its powerful filmmaking and message about personal roots and serving people, told in a slow burn way but for a reason), LAGAAN, and also Tamil language Indian movies like 96 (2018) and KANNATHIL MUTHAMITTAL (2002).

39:17 Oh my God!.. Jenny.. The shade on such a Lovable Character is Crazy.. I get the Trauma.. But girl.. Come on.. You loved the Toxic Rahul..

hahah I knew the recommendations were going to be overwhelming, the viewers loved you because of your authenticity and the heartful reactions you portray, so keep in touch with that inner beauty. It will be hard but it is ok even if you just stay away from it for a while, its entirely your freedom. I dont want to see any other reactor getting anxious because of all the other overwhelming responses, especially when there is indian content related to it. So guys, lets give Jenny some space and let her do her own thing, in her own pace, we promised her to grow slow and steady with her. Peace!

Watch Welcome! Just a funny comedy movie might lighten the mood a bit
