A good thing about Nostalgia Critic’s The Wall is that it inspired the indie rock group Pink Floyd to make a tribute album that kind of slaps

"I didn't give much thought to Doug's lyrics"
That's okay Rob, Doug didn't give much thought to them either

Dan Olson is right. People still talk about it and hate-stream it because it's not just bad. It's fascinatingly bad and accidentally revealing.

This is how I find out Rob Scallon is married to Tamara from Nostalgia Critic

I commissioned a lathe-cut vinyl of this album for my friend's birthday.  First track on side B was the entire honey ad

It’s such a strange, fascinating work, because Rob so clearly cares about the album’s musical content, and it shows in his craftsmanship. He’s a mensch - a great guy, an huge inspiration to so many people here on YouTube. Go Rob!

"and then he came over to do the vocals", fucking Doug Walker in the studio doing the dracula impression while you go get coffee in the other room

I didn't know it was Classics Week.

Ive never seen anyone whos like "i actually 100% agree with doug on the wall, its just the instrumentals i dont like" lol

Rob just so you are aware. The hate for the album is not for the music itself, I was actually so surprised by the quality of the instrumentals that I had to find out who did them back when it first came out and seeing your name made a lot of sense. The hate has always been the lyrics criticizing the og album and how abrasive Doug comes across in the songs. He’s comes off as very harsh only to at the end of the video say that he actually loves Pink Floyd. It is just weird all around, but your work on it was very good.

That Rob Scallon was able to do what he did in two weeks is insane. Damn people with better ideas should be hiring this man

Tamara being like "bro this is gonna suck dont do this dude" is very heartening. I feel for her having to work on so much trash for a paycheck

I met Rob at a No Kings protest and Wrigley field! Nice guy, we took a pic. Very humble

Edit: idk i just wanna be that guy who feels the need to explain their edit

Shout out to Tamera, she really understood the assignment and told Rob he didn't need to do it.

Just like how Snoop Dogg is on Plastic Beach, To Pimp A Butterfly and Angelic 2 The Core

Watching this video is gonna make YouTube push the Dan Olson video I've already seen a couple times to me every six hours again for sure but that won't stop me from watching it anyway

just finding out now his name isn't Rob Scallion

The Folding Ideas video about this project is an incredible tear down.

Knew this wasn’t about Yuno Miles just from the title

The music itself was not bad. Rob Scallon made a very competent recreation of Pink Floyd's songs on The Wall. That wasn't what made it bad. What made it bad was Doug Walker's terrible singing, poorly written parody lyrics, crummy storytelling, amateur-grade filmmaking, and shockingly juvenile misunderstanding of what The Wall (both the music and the film) was actually about.
