I initially came for the gear feedback, but I stayed for the british english lesson.

It's great to hear real soldiers talking about this stuff, and not some "operator" bro who claim to have shot bin laden on joe rogan's podcast.

This video needs a kit list in the description. A great watch!

Really f__king learned from this video even though I'm a f__king American.

As an American i laughed every time he referred to us. I understand it.

I’ve been looking for this kind of video for quite some time. I don’t know why it’s only showing up for me now. Great job and lots of important information!

I love the British humor and the fact that such guys like you are fighting for us. Thank you!

Really informative session. Some things seem obvious now you’ve said them, lessons taken from lessons hard learned. He’d be a great asset as an instructor to young British troops some day. Really valuable. Stay safe mate.

The old Interceptor vest from the early GWOT was good for shrapnel protection. It combined soft armor and plates. It saved my life from an IED. I had the neck protector on, and it took a bunch of shrapnel. You could adjust the protection according to the mission. There was no front or rear in GWOT so our logistical units that ran our routes wore the entire kit which included armor for the shoulders which made sense if you were a turret gunner on truck and were likely to take and IED blast on the route.  Our kit only had the neck protector add on and a crotch protector that I usually left on my bunk or sometimes I'd flip it up and secure it under the vest and its Velcro. One drawback was it was hard to take this vest off a wounded soldier.

Thank you. Ordering some more tourniquets ASAP. I watched your video 3 times and took notes as well

Very interesting, Stay safe and Merry Christmas 🙏

Man, the British soldier having a Bergen is such a cliché—I was just waiting for him to pull out a teapot and some fish and chips. All in all, it's a great video with great solutions. Thanks.

I was a volunteer in the Croatian Army back in the Yugoslav civil war ... and i can personally vouch for most of what this man says ... obviously not having experience with drone warfare as thank god they were not a thing back in the early Ninties . Like  the  Ukrainians, we were always outgunned  and out numbered  , and being an ex artilleryman myself  i had an appreciation for the way the eastern block nations used  artillery ... but i had a big surprise when i actually experienced a good stonk  !! I can confirm the colour of adrenaline is  brown   !!! .. Anyway Blue .. it gladdens my heart to see the British volunteer is still out there doing the bizz, more power to you me old mucker  ... just remember to trust your gut feelings ... they are natures early warning system for the wise  !     all my best wishes  and hopes for you .......   from an old  ' Has been '

Amazing to hear this, awesome portion of knowledge. Thanks

I miss being In the army, I loved being infantry. It’s not for everyone and not everyone understands why we do it. Cheers brother stay safe

I love your setting with the side plates, I hate it when people say they dont carry side plates because of the weight. Just start on day one with the extra side plates and you will get used to it.

You are great, your information are really very important.

No matter what a man needs his hot beverages and Godspeed! May you enjoy countless servings of both!

I love this dude.

Good vid. Solid advice. Thanks for your service
