I can add one to that...caregiving. I'm caregiver to my husband with late stage Alzheimer's. It takes everything out of you. Many times caregivers die before their loved one does. Many at this stage of life are caregivers.

One more thing I want to point out. With some cancers, there are no symptoms until it's too late. I was diagnosed with stage 3, grade 3 HER2+ breast cancer. I had no symptoms at all. I felt great, had loads of energy, and had no idea anything was wrong. I had had a mammogram 5 months earlier, and nothing showed up then, but HER2 is very aggressive and quick. If I had waited until my next mammogram, I probably wouldn't be here now.
My little dog is the one who found my cancer. He suddenly got very needy and wanted me to hold him all the time. When I picked him up, he would burrow into my chest and sometimes try to dig or press up against me. This went on for several weeks until one time he pushed so hard against me, I felt the lump. I credit this little 6-pound dog for saving my life.

Thank you doctors for caring. 70 years old comes way to quickly.

Loneliness. Feeling I’m not needed by anyone

People are too proud to use canes when they need one.  It improves my walk, my speed, my balance, and my confidence.  It is also a handy weapon for self defense.

In my humble opinion...
Try to ....
Keep MOVING.....
Keep WELL HYDRATED
Keep SLEEPING WELL
Keep EATING HIGH PROTEIN
Keep STRESS FREE
keep MAKING SOCIAL CONTACT
Keep LEARNING

I'm surprised sometimes thst people need exercise later in life.
Im an old lady, but I own a truck. I'm always dragging things around, gardening etc.
Buy a truck ! It will lead to doing things for yourself. I collect rocks and pots for my garden. Buy used items on facebook to rehab and resell.
Get dogs, go hiking. Drag stuff around !  Live !

I literally had chest pain when we had to put our cat to sleep in January...loss of pets matter too.

I'm 70 and over the years I've developed a really good exercise routine to stretch my body. I do resistance bands and weights too. I eat high protein and fat. Keep processed foods to a minimum. No medications. 17 years ago I was in a very bad way with joint pain. Now apart from the odd twinge I feel great. I've stopped osteoarthritis in it's tracks. I studied a lot of nutritional information and that's where it starts. Never too late to start. Bad health in old age is not inevitable. Thanks for all you do guys. Love from the UK. ❤

I am 67 and last year by husband passed away, and suddenly my best friend ftom childhood,  was not there anymore.  Until recently I had no appetite, never felt hungry, nothing tasted like anything.  I  overnight became the person responsible for our farm, that was the hardest thing as I needed to focus when I wanted to curl up and stay inside the house.  I cleaned my house like a maniac at night, and did not sleep for long.  Now I learned one pot cooking, with vegetables and meat, making tasty vegetable soups.  I have good constant blood pressure, no sugar issues and am I think, very lucky, have never needed any medication.  Cannot even remember when I was ill.

1. Atrial fibulation.  2. Aortic stenosis.  3. Heart failure.  4. Dangerous fall. 5. Loss/bereavement  6. Malignant cancer that was ignored.  7. Taking too many medications

I am 77 and I live alone. I know that if I go down hard, it may be the last time. Before I start a project, I calculate the odds of falling beforehand, like a general going into battle.

Thank you for caring for us seniors. Love your videos.

Bereavement, exercise, socialization, dopamine and endorphins:  I'm 73, was my husband's caregiver and the last 11 months of his life was rough. I was always physically strong. He died 5 years 3 months ago, I was 69.  I fell apart and became quite inactive physically, socially and mentally.  I lied to myself that I was 'ok', but I wasn't. My physical strength suffered, I lost muscle and stamina. Two years ago, I FINALLY signed up for water aerobics with a lot of other 'elderly' ladies. I go twice a week.  I've been working very hard at it and using the water with buoyant dumbbells for resistance. I also feel socially and mentally buoyant through socializing at class.   I've started doing exercises at home. I'm getting stronger in so many aspects of my life.  One of the ladies commented recently that I was 'glowing', that there was a change in my affect and appearance from when I'd first started class.

I just turned 70.  The other morning I was sitting with my cat in my lap.  I needed to get and go fix breakfast.  Wasn’t really paying attention, jumped up and went to take a step and my ankle was limp.  I didn’t fall but did sprain my ankle.  Turns out my foot and ankle had fallen asleep but I didn’t realize it when I jumped up and started to walk. I now pay attention to my body when getting up from sitting to make sure everything is in working order before I start walking.  It could have been a whole lot worse…..

I will be 78 this year and i get stronger every day… I love ❤️ exercise so Im getting lots of strong muscles..

Hello.  A friend brought his 101 year old mother for a day visit_lunch in the country.  She was on zero meds, went for a walk, lunch, memories snd after a 27:53  handmade card and poem.  Now she is 104, still no meds.  Very healthy, active living and aging.

I'm 70 now but 3 years ago i tripped over a block in the garden and caught my arm on the porch protecting my head and I felt it break right away! I prayed all the way to the hospital that it was a clean break and no surgery.  It broke it two places but no requirement of surgery and now I'm constantly watching what I do.

I am absolutely amazed at how well you 3 put your heart and soul into helping Seniors when everyone else puts us in a position where we are all the same and that’s in a few words its your age
