Bill dressed like he's a guide at a safari park

Glenn Close low key is one of the greatest actresses of all time. I remember her guest starring on The West Wing and she stole every scene she was in, which is something considering the amazing cast they had. Tremendous presence.

Great idea to do this and Gone Girl rewatchables so close together. Crazy about the alternative ending.

So glad The Ringer is finally doing video pods like the Grantland days

Does anybody else watch the movie they're doing just so you can listen to the podcast?

Bill, to Mallory: ' Would you want to make out with Michael Douglas?'
Wesley: 'Yes! Yes!'

Seems really simple but Wesley Morris is really good at asking people "Why?"

In this pod it's usually just after someone says something that they loved about it and he genuinely wants to know what parts in movies people are lured towards and what makes them that way

Wesley Morris looks and acts just like I imagined. I love his energy, it really gives power to his takes.

2019: “could this be a 10-episode tv series?”
2023: it’s an 8-episode meh Paramount series

What's funny is that this entire film is the result of an umbrella not opening.

Bradley Cooper could be the new Michael Douglas very easily. He's the right age now. Also, this chick's potty mouth is a riot. She reminds me of Deb on Dexter 😂

I just found a similarity to the spaghetti scenes: He gives the rest of the spaghetti to his dog. And if you consider: He sees Alex as a lapdog....in some way. She's good in bed but nothing more. And she shouldn't talk. Just like his dog.
