The hand painted unlined kimono is incredibly rare! This type of unlined Kimono is called "Hitoe" and it is only worn in June and September. These kimonos are very hard to find and being painted and the seams are so perfectly lining up it was custom made for someone for sure! If you only paid 50$ for it, it was the deal of your lifetime! I personally wouldn't cut this type of kimono up. What you could do though is seam rip it and use the complete lengths of the fabric in a zero waste dress. There are a few patterns that have no off cuts.
