My Honest Review of MY Royal Enfield Interceptor 650

I've put off doing this review for a long time. Reviewing your own bike is tricky, it's hard to stay objective when it's the one you actually ride and love.

But after months of testing all sorts of different bikes for this channel, I keep coming back to the same conclusion, the Interceptor 650 is the one I wouldn't swap for anything, even with an unlimited budget.

In this video I'm covering general performance and giving you my genuine, no-nonsense take on why this bike still holds up so well against everything else I've ridden recently.

You've probably seen some strong opinions floating around about Royal Enfield lately, especially from one well-known content creator who's fallen out with the brand. In my view, that's more about a personal fallout than any real issue with the bikes themselves.

So if you already own an Interceptor 650, or you're thinking about getting one, from everything I've experienced, this is a genuinely great bike, and I don't think you'll be disappointed.

68,000 miles on my 2020 Interceptor; my Triumphs feel neglected.

Couldn't agree more! I've just gone over 11k on my baler express. The handling is amazing with the Harris chassis, the wheels are excel rims with stainless spokes. But most of all I love the endless customisation of the Enfield. Mines got a lot now, brembo calipers, full system, colour matching panels and mudguards, s&s camshaft, domino throttle, custom seat plus much more, endless customisation! Never ever selling it.

Its such a refreshing change to find a content producer whose opinions and views are based on time and experience, and all based around a bike I own and love. My Interceptor is a 2020 model and at 66yo it suits me down to the ground. I like to film my little rides out and I keep singing the praises of this wonderful motorcycle on YT. Thank you for sharing 👍

Somebody told me these bikes were rubbish. Then they tried to sell me some gloves and a jacket. 🤣🤣🤣

Great as usual. I've done a few upgrades on mine but fitting aftermarket silencers just makes me grin and feel like I did nearly 60 years ago. It's the type of bike which is very rewarding because it's at it's best when you ride it smoothly and use the engine braking and torque.

It’s meant to be, my day off today the suns out and I’m about to go up Rivi on my interceptor 😁

Great video, sums up the essence of riding and how certain styles of bike make you feel and what they’re best suited to.

I've had my bullet 350 for almost a year now. I love it to bits. Last week i picked up an interceptor. It's like night and day. More power on tap, but not insane. More narrow seat makes my short height less of an issue. Anyone that rides a 350 should try the interceptor.

I've owned and ridden multiple bikes in my life and traded a 1000cc sport tourer for the interceptor, IMHO one of the best bikes ever made. Hugely important for motorcycle history now as it marked the rebirth of RE, buttery engine, timeless looks. Everything together just works

I'm a new subscriber. Great video. I own an Interceptor and a RE Classic 500. Both are amazing bikes and suit any mood.

Great review and confirmed for me what I needed to know! Just bought one today 2021model, 2k miles for £2500 can't wait to pick it up.

Adam, you're a natural film maker.
Fantastic video, bike sounds great, love your enthusiasm.

I totally agree. Interceptor is a great bike. I sold mine a year back and I still regret. I have 2 other bikes but still miss the interceptor. I still own the Classic 350 which I love. But as you mentioned it's not built for motorways. I have a BMW 1250 gs which is used for certain reasons. But the interceptor is still missed. I believe Interceptor 650 is the perfect bike for Irish and UK roads.

I bought my interceptor after buying a lexmoto LXS 125, the riding position gave me a lot of issues , so I was looking at the kawasaki z650 but noticed there was a lot of people riding them or the m t 07. Found Royal interceptor that was 3 grand after part exchanging in my 125. Always love the look of Royal Enfields and haven't looked back since. I love it and I have many people stop & talk to me about my interceptor.

Love the Baker Express color scheme, such a beautiful bike! But I‘m too tall for the Interceptor, so I chose the Bear 650, which has an even more relaxed rider triangle and the same great engine.

Regarding the 350s: I had a Bullet 350 as a loaner for a weekend while my Bear was in for the first service. Beautiful bike, and full of character. Not my first choice as a daily driver, it’s just not powerful enough. But the ideal bike for wandering along backroads! I had so much fun going 70-80 km/h, listening to that nice burble and sputtering when rolling off the throttle. Pure joy!
