Fuchi is the result of Junji Ito taking a week to himself and saying "man I don't wanna f around with symbolism rn, I just wanna write some weird stuff"

Too bad 86 was underrated.  The Legion is pure nightmare fuel.  Imagine an army of self replicating robots that is trying to destroy humanity while also using human heads as controllers.

Another where everything is nightmare fuel is Gantz.  Luckily the manga wasn't part of this list because there is some seriously messed up crap near the end when the world truly gets invaded.

out of all of these, the death note shinigami are the most likely to function in the real world without destroying it.
makes them plausible, despite their powers and threat level.

I remember being young and seeing the scene of Adam for the first time it was so eerie

Chimera ants are like xenomorphs but instead of impregnating a host, the queen eats the host.

Shiki are just vampires. They can call them whatever they want, but that is what they are.

"Anime in Minutes"

Video runs nearly an hour.  And I still watch.

Nuce video, slight suggestions: timestamps and descriptions showing which anime each of them is from

Scariest characters in anime? The writers.

Bro, it’s 2025. Can we please get timestamps?

@ 6:12 the word is causality, not casualty. Great video, keep up the good work :)

Oh dang, don't often see Shi Ki mentioned/covered! A classic, been years since I saw that one. Nice.

The scariest thing about the Chimera Ants is that they're NOT apex predators! in any other world, they would be, but HunterXHunter's world is terrifying! To them, the Ants are still monstrous and overpowered, but their world has so many monsters that are significantly worse!

In my  opinion, heres a few of the scariest looking creatures in Anime
1 Titans gave me nightmares
2 The lady with the sweet voice and the monstrous face in Junji Ito's story.
3 The little cute girl and her dog got transmuted together in one episode of Full Metal Alchemist. I couldnt get past how sad that was and that voice that came out of that creature.  Theres a few more but these 3 come to mind at the moment

45:52 That stage 5 creature looks like it could be the inspiration for Gargantuan Leviathan

i thought thats Marjorie Taylor Greene in the thumbnail lmao

This one may sound strange since it comes from one of the Big 3 of manga, but I'd include Hollows from Bleach. There are 3 reasons they're absolutely terrifying: 1. Most normal people cannot see them. They're completely invisible to those who haven't suffered a traumatic event or near-death experience. 2. They can still kill you. It doesn't matter that they're not among the living, they can still kill living people as evident when a little boy was killed in the first arc. 3. If attacked, you may suffer one of two horrific fates of either being consumed and erased from existence, unable to pass over into the Soul Society, or after being killed, you'll be turned into a Hollow yourself and be forced to become a soul hungry monster. It isn't all doom and gloom though. Despite their methods, Soul Reapers merely purify them, allowing those who have turned another chance at passing into said Soul Society, or for evil souls, be pulled into Hell.

Those creatures from made in abyss should've made it here

Haven’t seen the show but the Bunny Elder Barns are a new level of trauma. The ironic and rhetoric contrast of bunnies, who are usually soft and innocent creatures; to be the fuel in your nightmares forces you to rethink your view on bunnies in general. That’s how you know it’s the scariest example you proposed, when correcting your previous misconceptions leads you to more horror.
