Today on Toon Talk, we discuss on of my favorite movies of all time: Scooby-Doo on Zombie island. We all know it's a masterpiece in animation, voice acting and story telling. But did it go too far with the creepiness? It has some intense themes and imagery and a much darker tone. This was a far departure to the otherwise PG and family friendly franchise. I watched this as a very little kid and while it scared me, I loved it since I'm a huge Scooby fan. What are your thoughts? One of my favorite details- during the "Terror Time" chase, Scooby falls in the lake, Shaggy looks around frantically for something to help him, only for a zombie just off screen to tap his shoulder, offer a vine, to which Shaggy grabs thankfully, only to realize a split second later that THIS IS A ZOMBIE, and then he Tarzans across the lake for Scooby to grab on and both get tossed off screen to continue running. It's both a standard classic Scooby gag, but ALSO a legit clue since the zombies were trying to help them the entire time

13:55 I was four when I saw this movie (when it came out) and it didn’t scare me and I was a coward as a kid, this was and is my favourite scooby doo movie.

Thanks for the Vid. Love for ol Scoob and the Mystery Gang is eternal. This movie cemented my love. Real supernatural beings. I wished they do real supernatural being more often. At least pepper encounters enough to make them actually interested in unmasking the creepy and the occult. This age of movies was a god send.

I feel like this is what velma shouldve been. Just a more mature direction rather than what ended up being a glorified family guy segment with enough self inserts to kill a man.
